The FEA modeling and experimental investigation of the human lumbar spinal segment with stabilization system are presented. For numerical simulations the geometry data of the vertebrae is acquired from the Computer Tomography measuring. The mechanical properties of tissues are assumed as nonlinear and hyperelastic. Experimental investigation is carried out on a new stabilization system. The aim of the study is to identify the influence of the stabilization fixator on change in kinematics and stiffness of the human lumbar spinal segment.
