W artykule opisano typowe problemy, z jakimi borykają się użytkownicy lokali z balkonami czy tarasami. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność zapewnienia odpowiedniej izolacyjności cieplnej ścian w obszarach przyległych do balkonów i tarasów oraz samych tarasów. Podano wskazówki dotyczące wyboru materiałów do stosowania w tych konstrukcjach, projektowania z uwzględnieniem zagadnień cieplno-wilgotnościowych, a także dokonywania napraw balkonów i tarasów.

The article describes typical problems faced by users of premises with balconies or terraces. The need to ensure adequate thermal insulation of walls in areas adjacent to balconies and terraces as well as the terraces themselves is highlighted. Furthermore, guidelines on the selection of materials for use in these structures, for their design taking into account thermal and humidity issues, as well as repair of balconies and terraces are specified.
