Celem omawianych projektów studialnych było zbadanie możliwości rewitalizacji przestrzeni uczestnictwa w kulturze przy al. Przyjaźni w Gliwicach. Na potrzeby projektu przeprowadzono badania przedprojektowe (desk research, studia literaturowe, obserwacje in situ, sondażowe w grupie potencjalnych użytkowników). W poszukiwaniu rozwiązań wariantowych zastosowano metodę projektową. Ulepszenia społeczne oraz nowatorstwo przestrzenne/produktowe, funkcjonalne/procesowe i organizacyjne w sferze zarządzania przestrzenią kultury redefiniują lokalną architekturę w sposób adekwatny do aktualnego paradygmatu innowacyjności.

The aim of the discussed study projects was to examine the possibilities of revitalizing the space for participation in culture at Al. Friendship in Gliwice. For the needs of the project, pre-project research was carried out (Desk Research, literature studies, in situ observations, surveys among a group of potential users). The design method was used to search for variant solutions. Social improvements and spatial/product, functional/process and organizational innovations in the sphere of cultural space management redefine local architecture in a way adequate to the current innovation paradigm.

The paper raises the problem of structural, cultural and agency barriers that limit the development of social innovations in the selected Silesian senior non-governmental organizations. The morphogenetic scheme is presented in terms of explaining the roots of the emergence of ressentimental mechanisms and effects determining the course of social innovations. On this basis and using qualitative analysis of data obtained during focus group interviews (FGI) with the leaders and members of NGO’s, a diagnosis and explanation is conducted concerning the occurrence of ressentimental tensions in the processes of initiating, testing and implementing innovation.

Pomorski Ośrodek Kompetencji (POK) działa w ramach struktur Wojewódzkiego Urzędu Pracy w Gdańsku jako innowacyjny ośrodek testujący. Jednym z obszarów działalności POK są zadania związane z ergonomią, polegające na określaniu możliwości klientów POK przez badanie funkcjonalne (Functional Capacity Evaluation - FCE), określanie wymagań fizycznych związanych z pracą klientów POK oraz doradztwo ergonomiczne. Działania te są realizowane przez terapeutów zawodowych - osoby wykonujące nowy w Polsce, a popularny na świecie zawód, którego celem jest poprawa jakości życia klientów. W artykule przedstawiono działalność Ośrodka w obszarze badania możliwości funkcjonalnych oraz działań ergonomicznych, stwierdzając innowacyjność społeczną usług świadczonych w POK.

The Pomeranian Competence Center (Pomorski Ośrodek Kompetencji – POK) operates within the framework of the Voivodeship Labour Office in Gdansk as an innovative test center. One of the activity areas of POK are tasks related to ergonomics, consisting in evaluation of the functional capacity of customers, determining the physical work demands and giving the adequate ergonomic advice. These activities are carried out by occupational therapists. Occupational therapist (OT) is a new profession in Poland, though popular in the world. The main goal of OT is to improve the quality of life of clients. The article presents the basic premises of the Pomeranian Competence Center and describes its functioning on scope of Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) and ergonomic consulting. According to the model proposed by TEPSIE, the Pomeranian Competence Center fulfils the definition of social innovation.
