Introduction: High performance motor boats should constitute standard equipment of lifeguards. There are motor boats on the market using high density polyethylene (HDPE) for the construction of their hulls. Purpose: In 2022, on the lakes Zegrzynskie and the Orzysz, there were carried out tests of a motor boat with a hull made in HDPE technology and a construction similar to a hybrid boat (rigid-inflatable boat, RIB). The aim of the tests was to examine the operational capabilities of the SRB53 motor boats and obtain preliminary information on the configuration of the equipment. Methods: The survey involved 57 people, experts, representatives of public administration, NATO soldiers, police, and rescue services, as well as enterprises and non-governmental entities operating in the field of water rescue. The working hypothesis was assumed that probably motor boats as a combination of HDPE technology with a hybrid boat design could match the operational rib boats and have an advantage in terms of durability and resistance to hull damage. A diagnostic survey was used on a small sample with research techniques, i.e., observation, interview, and test, as well as research tools in the form of an observation sheet. The research was prepared, carried out and closed in the following order: development of the research procedure, collection of research material, development of results, theoretical analysis of the obtained material and derivation of conclusions. The scope of the boat study included going away and nailing to the quay, the boat’s behaviours when making turns and abrupt turns in both directions at different speeds, and the hull durability test. Results: The test results and opinions were positive, many advantages of the hull of the tested boat were indicated, with one negative parameter – a higher weight compared to traditional rescue boats. The working hypothesis was proved: motor boats in HDPE technology with a hybrid boat design are equal in terms of operation to RIB boats and are more durable and resistant to impacts. Innovative HDPE technology is useful for boat production. Due to the purpose, different configuration and equipment of the boat should be assumed.

Metodologia: W badaniu wzięło udział 57 osób, ekspertów, przedstawicieli administracji publicznej, żołnierzy NATO, policji i służb ratowniczych oraz przedsiębiorstw i pozarządowych podmiotów prowadzących działalność w zakresie ratownictwa wodnego. Badania przygotowano, przeprowadzono i zamknięto wg następującej kolejności: opracowanie procedury badań, zgromadzenie materiału badawczego, opracowanie wyników, analiza teoretyczna uzyskanego materiału i wyprowadzenie wniosków. Wyniki: Wyniki testów i opinie były pozytywne, wskazano wiele zalet kadłuba testowanej łodzi, przy jednym parametrze ujemnym – większej masie w stosunku do tradycyjnych łodzi ratowniczych.

The main aim of the article is to determine the requirements of agglomeration railway passengers in order to change transport habits. The focus was on the requirements for small railway stations, which play an important role in the process of implementing the idea of sustainable transport. Most travelers use their private cars for daily commuting. This is largely due to the neglect of public transport, which requires a fundamental change in policy - its focus on the development of sustainable transport, the pillar of which is rail transport along with non-motorized transport options (e.g. cycling, walking). The survey showed that the most important point of the survey were the problems that travelers face on a daily basis at railway stations/stops. The basic ones include: lack of toilets, waiting rooms, cates/bars and commercial and service points. Development plans for the Poznan Metropolitan Railway (PKM) were also presented - a project to use the city's freight bypass in the PKM system. Its main goal is to bring the metropolis closer to the idea of a 15-minute city and 15-minute stations in order to achieve the concept of sustainable transport in the city and agglomeration. Due to the critical assessment of Innovative System Stations as a solution that, due to non-standard equipment, causes problems with significant costs of vandalism, it was proposed to introduce System Modular Stations based on flexibility, enabling - thanks to the introduction of the idea of modularity in the construction of a small station - adapting the station/stop equipment to the changing requirements of passengers. The flexible approach is based on staged investing, which also significantly reduces the level of initial investment expenses. The initial solution is to equip the station with basic equipment that meets the survey results. Naturally, the key to success in the design, construction and operation of small stations is cooperation between PKP, regional authorities and the local community.

As a tool, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) guide local and regional leaders in developing policy approaches for better social development. SDGs are 17 ambitious objectives towards a greener, healthier, more peaceful and equal planet, promoted by the United Nations to achieve by 2030. Having this performance in mind, countries and regions can measure their level of SDG implementation and rethink how they could promote prosperity, cooperation among regions and progress. This study focuses on SDG-9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure in ten municipalities of the Alto Minho region, Portugal. The main idea is to assess the level of each municipality in the achievement of the indicators related to this SDG. The similarities and differences between the municipalities can underline areas for joint efforts or investments in the development policy. This paper selected a performance analysis as a tool for informing on the amount of effort required to achieve SDG-9 at a local level, i.e., the Alto Minho region in the north of Portugal. If the trend of evolution is maintained, only Viana do Castelo will reach the full range of indicators for SDG-9, and Caminha will have 50 % of the indicators achieved. The remaining municipalities will reach at least half of the indicators, thus achieving a value lower than half of the target value. This approach could be replicated in other SDGs and other regions. This assessment allows the region’s stakeholders to indicate areas of required action to achieve the SDG.

W niniejszym artykule autor opisuje nowy kierunek rozwoju technologii w zakresie inżynierii lądowej, który interdyscyplinarnie sprzęża rozwiązania znane mostownictwu z aspektami geotechnicznymi w przestrzeni technologii i możliwości wdrożenia w przemyśle budowlanym. Postawione zagadnienie dotyczy zasadniczo dwóch obszarów realizacji, czyli projektowania i wykonawstwa podziemnych części inwestycji.
