Advanced innovations and modern digital electronics have revolutionized infrared thermometers in recent years. Most modern pyrometers are highly accurate, precise and stable when used in a clean and controlled calibration laboratory; yet, incorrect performance is frequently obtained when general – purpose sensors are applied throughout the real – life situations. However, civil engineering industry has directly benefitted from the introduction of infrared pyrometers to produce reliable temperature readings under demanding empirical conditions.
W pracy dokonano analizy statystycznej metodą regresji wielokrotnej wpływu czynników meteorologicznych, roślinnych i wilgotności gleby na temperaturę radiacyjną roślin w trzech różnych siedliskach użytków zielonych: okresowo mokrym, posusznym i suchym. Powiązanie wskaźnika pF z parametrami meteorologicznymi i roślinnymi w modelach regresji wielokrotnej umożliwiło wyjaśnienie zmienności temperatury radiacyjnej roślin w ponad 85%. W modelu dla trzech siedlisk łącznie stwierdzono istotny wpływ temperatury powietrza, promieniowania słonecznego, barwy roślin, wysokości roślin, wskaźnika pF i stopnia pokrycia gleby na temperaturę radiacyjną roślin. Wpływ wskaźnika pF na temperaturę roślin w przyjętym modelu regresji oceniono na około 10%.

Statistical analysis of the effect of meteorological and plant parameters and of soil moisture on infrared temperature of plant cover was performed using the multiple regression method. The measurements were carried out in three different grassland sites: periodically wet, drying and dry. Combination of the pF index with meteorological and plant parameters in the multiple regression models explained the variability of infrared temperature of plant cover in above 85%. In the model combining the three different sites, significant impact of air temperature, solar radiation, plant colour, plant height, pF index and the degree of soil cover on plant radiation temperature has been demonstrated. The influence of the pF index on plant radiation temperature was estimated at 10% in the adopted regression model.
