W artykule przeanalizowano wypadki przy pracy, które związane były z porażeniem prądem elektrycznym w latach 2005–2017 w zakładach górniczych. Zaprezentowano także dane statystyczne dotyczące wypadków związanych z elektrycznością przez dotyk bezpośredni. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie danych udostępnionych przez Główny Urząd Statystyczny oraz Wyższy Urząd Górniczy.

Mechanisation and automation of the extractive processes in mining and the spread of higher-performance machines, are connected with significant increase in electricity demand. Usage of faulty, damaged or incorrectly adjusted euqipment and energy installations may cause to humans employed by mining enterprises some dangerous accidents, caused by the impact of electric current on the human body. Electrical risks manifest in accidents as the possibility of electrical shock or burning from arc flash. The article analyses accidents at work, all electrical shock-related, over the period 2005–2017 at mining plants. There have been also presented the statistical data concerning some electricity accidents by direct contact. The analysis was carried out using data provided by the Statistics Poland and the State Mining Authority.
