The purpose of this article is to consider a special class of combinatorial problems, the so called Prouhet-Tarry Escot problem, solution of which is realized by constructing finite sequences of ±1. For example, for fixed p∈N, is well known the existence of np∈N with the property: any set of np consecutive integers can be divided into 2 sets, with equal sums of its p[th] powers. The considered property remains valid also for sets of finite arithmetic progressions of complex numbers.

Treścią niniejszego artykułu będą zagadnienia dotyczące transportu miejskiego. Zostanie przedstawione znaczenie trans-portu miejskiego w Polsce w latach 2014-2016 oraz zapotrzebowanie na ten rodzaj przemieszczania w różnych regionach kraju. Charakterystyce poddane zostaną środki i infrastruktura transportowa wykorzystywana do zaspokajania potrzeb społeczeństwa w zakresie przemieszczania się po mieście i terenach podmiejskich. Ocenie zostanie poddana także jakość usług oferowanych przez przewoźników miejskich w Krakowie, ich tabor, ceny biletów oraz zamieszczone zostaną opinie pasażerów o tej formie przemieszczania się na krótkie odległości.

This article focuses on the issues regarding the city transport. The significance of city transport in Poland from 2014 to 2016 is discussed, including the demand for this type of travel in various regions of the country. The means of transport and transport infrastructure used to meet the society’s needs in terms of moving about the city and the suburban areas is characterized. The quality of services offered by the city’s transport operators in Krakow is also examined as well as their fleet vehicles and ticket prices. Furthermore, passengers’ opinions about this form of travelling short distances are included.

Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje analizę sprawności funkcjonowania wybranych elementów ITS w Szczecinie. Analizie poddano System Zarządzania Komunikacją Miejską dla Miasta Szczecina i aglomeracji szczecińskiej poprzez porównanie biletu elektronicznego z tradycyjnym oraz przydatności urządzeń pozwalających na przekazywanie informacji dla pasażerów w czasie rzeczywistym. Wyżej wymienione systemy wdrażane są na terenie Szczecina od 2015 roku.

This article introduces results of the analysis of functioning of selected ITS elements in Szczecin. The analysed system was the City Transport Management System for the City of Szczecin and the Szczecin agglomeration. In the research authors comparing the e-ticket with the traditional one and the suitability of information devices allowing the passengers to collect real time information related to the travel. The above-mentioned systems have been implemented in Szczecin since 2015.

Celem artykułu jest prezentacja rozwiązań z zakresu inteligentnych systemów transportowych wykorzystywanych w Szczecinie. Miasto Szczecin ze względu na położenie i występujące w nim szlaki komunikacyjne jest ważnym elementem krajowego systemu transportu. Zadaniem miasta jest zapewnienie wszystkim użytkownikom sprawnego przemieszczania się nie zapominając o zachowaniu zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju. Sposobem na spełnienie tych celów jest wdrażanie inteligentnych systemów transportowych. Przedmiotem badań zaprezentowanych w artykule są funkcjonujące w Szczecinie wybrane podsystemy inteligentnego systemu transportowego. Analizy dokonano poprzez weryfikację informacji przekazywanych przez tablice zmiennej treści.

The aim of the article is to present solutions in the field of intelligent transport systems used in Szczecin. The city of Szczecin, due to its location and communication routes, is an important element of the national transport system. The city's task is to provide all users with efficient mobility, not forgetting to maintain the principles of sustainable development. The way to meet these goals is the implementation of intelligent transport systems. The subject of the research presented in the article are the selected subsystems of the intelligent transport system operating in Szczecin. The analysis was made by verifying information provided by Variable Message Signs.

Wstęp i cele: W pracy opisano wybrane zagadnienia z teorii przestrzeni Saksa. Podano podstawowe definicje i wybrane twierdzenia dotyczące przestrzeni Saksa. Głównym celem pracy jest zapoznanie z tematyką przestrzeni Saksa. Materiał i metody: W pracy wykorzystano podstawy teoretyczne z literatury dotyczącej analizy funkcjonalnej. Zastosowano metodę analityczną. Wyniki: Głównym rezultatem pracy jest podanie definicji i dowodów wybranych własności dotyczących przestrzeni Saksa. Ponadto podano odpowiednie przykłady ilustrujące przestrzeń Saksa. Wniosek: Dysponując podstawowymi wiadomościami o przestrzeniach Saksa, można rozważać nie tylko przestrzenie dualne zbiorów Saksa, lecz również ciągi odwzorowań liniowych w tych przestrzeniach.

Introduction and aims: This paper describes some aspects of the theory of Saks space. In this study has been shown some basic definitions and selected theorems which refer to Saks spaces. The main aim of this paper is to introduce in the topic of Saks space. Material and methods: In this work the theoretical basis from the functional analysis have been discussed. The method of analysis has been used in the paper. Results: The main result of the study is to provide a definition and some proofs of selected properties concerning of Saks spaces. In addition, have been given some selected examples to illustrate the Saks space. Conclusion: Having basic knowledge about Saks spaces, can be considered further not only dual spaces of Saks sets, but also some sequences of linear projections in Saks spaces.

We propose a method of solving the problem with non-homogeneous integral condition for homogeneous evolution equation with abstract operator in a linear space H. For right-hand side of the integral condition which belongs to the special subspace H ⊆ L, in which the vectors are represented using Stieltjes integrals over a certain measure, the solution of the problem is represented in the form of Stieltjes integral over the same measure.

In this paper we apply Rothe's Fixed Point Theorem to prove the interior approximate controllability of the following semilinear impulsive Heat Equation [...] where k = 1, 2, . . . , p, Ω is a bounded domain in [...] is an open nonempty subset of Ω, 1ω denotes the characteristic function of the set ω, the distributed control u belongs to [...]. Under this condition we prove the following statement: For all open nonempty subsets ω of Ω the system is approximately controllable on [0, τ]. Moreover, we could exhibit a sequence of controls steering the nonlinear system from an initial state z0 to an ϵ neighborhood of the nal state z1 at time τ > 0.

In this paper two selected airport’s systems (Flight Information System and Public Address Voice Annunciation) are defined and described. Then they are used to create an integrated unit, with the presentation of its way of functioning and a schematic picture. The author names main purposes of the integration process, serving to counteract negative consequences arising from implementation of the increasing number of systems on transport objects. In the following part of the article functional analysis of the integrated unit is carried out, defining system’s possible states of work and relations between them. Utilization of mathematical apparatus allows to calculate probabilities of system staying in the respective states, as well as system’s time indexes. Presented results are a fundament for the further analysis of this matter.

W artykule zdefiniowano i opisano dwa wybrane systemy portu lotniczego (System Informacji Lotniczej oraz Dźwiękowy System Ostrzegawczy), a następnie stworzono z nich jednostkę zintegrowaną, przedstawiając jej sposób funkcjonowania oraz rysunek poglądowy. Ponadto zaprezentowano główne cele procesu integracji, służącego przeciwdziałaniu negatywnym konsekwencjom instalowania coraz większej liczby systemów w obiektach transportowych. W dalszej części artykułu przeprowadzono analizę funkcjonalną systemu zintegrowanego, nazywając stany w jakich może on przebywać oraz zachodzące między nimi relacje. Wykorzystanie aparatu matematycznego pozwoliło określić prawdopodobieństwa pozostawania systemu w zdefiniowanych stanach oraz wyznaczyć wybrane wskaźniki czasowe. Przeprowadzone rozważania stanowią podstawę do dalszej analizy tego problemu.

Purpose: accurate assessment of human joint parameters is a critical issue for the quantitative movement analysis, due to a direct influence on motion patterns. In this study three different known functional methods are experimentally compared to identify knee joint kinematics for further gait and motion analysis purposes. Methods: taking into account the human knee physiology complexity, within its roto-translation, the study is conducted on a lower limb mechanical analogue with a polycentric hinge-based kinematic model. The device mimics a joint with a mobile axis of rotation whose position is definable. Sets of reflective markers are placed on the dummy and flexion-extension movements are imposed to the shank segment. Marker positions are acquired using an optoelectronic motion capture system (Vicon 512). Results: acquired markers’ positions are used as input data to the three functional methods considered. These ones approximate the polycentric knee joint with a fixed single axis model. Different ranges of motion and number of markers are considered for each functional method. Results are presented through the evaluation of accuracy and precision concerning both misalignment and distance errors between the estimated axis of rotation and the instantaneous polycentric one, used as reference. Conclusion: the study shows the feasibility of the identification of joint parameters with functional approaches applied on a polycentric mechanism, differently from those usually conceived by the reviewed algorithms. Moreover, it quantifies and compares the approximation errors using different algorithms, by varying number and position of markers, as well ranges of motion.

W artykule zaprezentowano analizę funkcjonalności systemów informatycznych stosowanych we wspomaganiu działalno-ści firm logistycznych a na tym tle sformułowano problem wielokryterialnego wyboru takiego systemu dla dowolnej firmy logistycznej. Wskazano, że jest to problem wielokryterialnego wyboru i sformułowano formalny model matematyczny dla tego problemu. Wskazano również praktyczny sposób rozwiązania problemu doboru systemu informatycznego dla przykładowej firmy funkcjonującej w obszarze logistyki.

We review some results concerning multiplication of distributions using a pedagogical approach: we will first sketch the problems which may arise trying to multiply two distributions and. after discussing some mathematical tools, we will introduce several definitions of multiplication. In particular we give the details of a recent definition which works in any spatial dimension. As a particular application, we prove that delta functions and their derivatives can be multiplied.

W artykule przedstawiono podejście dydaktyczne do zagadnienia mnożenia dystrybucji. Na początku pokazano na poziomie podstawowym, jakie problemy pojawiają się. gdy mnożone są dystrybucje. Następnie wprowadzono zaawansowane narzędzia matematyczne do analizy problemu i podano szereg użytecznych definicji mnożenia dystrybucji, które mogą mieć zastosowanie w naukach inżynieryjnych. W szczególności przeanalizowano dogłębnie możliwości jednej z zaproponowanych definicji dla mnożenia dystrybucji i jej pochodnych w przestrzeniach o dowolnym wymiarze.

The Lp stability of linear feedback systems with a single time-varying sector-bounded element is considered. A sufficient condition for Lp stability, with 1LpL Y, is obtained by utilizing the well-known small gain theorem. Based on the stability measure provided by this theorem, quantitative results that describe output-to-input relations are obtained. It is proved that if the linear time-invariant part of the system belongs to the class of proper positive real transfer functions with a single pole at the origin, the upper bound on the output-to-input ratio is constant. Thus, an explicit closed-form calculation of this bound for some simple particular case provides a powerful generalization for the more complex cases. The importance of the results is illustrated by an example taken from missile guidance theory.
