Prace rewitalizacyjne i adaptacyjne w obiektach pofabrycznych wymagają zaawansowanych badań oraz analiz na etapie przedprojektowym, by prawidłowo ocenić stan zachowania i możliwości ekspozycji głównych atutów zabytku. Celem artykułu jest zbadanie na przykładzie centrum biurowego Zenit zlokalizowanego w Łodzi przy ulicy Sienkiewicza 82/84 procesu prac projektowych oraz realizacyjnych polegających na przebudowie i nadbudowie obiektu. W artykule posłużono się metodą studium przypadku, badaniami in situ oraz badaniami empirycznymi. Przytoczono przeprowadzone działania rewitalizacyjne i adaptacyjne, wskazując na główne decyzje projektowe. Uzyskane rezultaty pozwoliły wysnuć wnioski, że o ponadczasowości procesów rewitalizacyjnych decyduje zachowanie oryginalności struktury, szlachetność materiałów oraz rozwiązań architektonicznych, a także nieuleganie trendom i zastosowanie oryginalnych, indywidualnie zaprojektowanych detali.

Revitalization and adaptation works in post-industrial buildings require advanced research and analysis at the pre-design stage in order to properly assess the state of preservation and the possibility of exposing the main assets of the monument. The aim of the article is to examine, on the example of the Zenit office center located in Łódź at 82/84 Sienkiewicza Street, the process of design and implementation works consisting in the reconstruction and superstructure of the building. The article uses the case study method, in situ research and empirical research. Revitalization and adaptation activities carried out are quoted, pointing to the main design decisions. The obtained results allowed to draw conclusions that the timelessness of revitalization processes is determined by the preservation of the originality of the structure, the nobility of materials and architectural solutions, as well as not succumbing to trends and the use of original, individually designed details.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the operation of the Arms and Machines Factory "Arma" in Lviv. It was one of the first armaments companies in the Second Republic. The company made great contributions to the work of rebuilding Poland after the end of World War I, and from then on, by fulfilling the orders of the Polish Army, had an impact on the security and defense of the country. The study is based on archival materials collected in Poland and Ukraine, published sources, the press and scientific studies.

Adaptations of post-industrial facilities for modern residential devices improve the results and aesthetics of urban spaces with full respect for protection of cultural heritage. Change of use of the historic building requires a series of preliminary research facility. The article presents the results of the diagnosis of the technical condition preceding the adaptation of the former factory to lofts in Zielona Góra.

Firma HABA-Beton istnieje na polskim rynku od 10 lat. Jako pierwsze powstało małe biuro sprzedaży, a prefabrykaty betonowe i żelbetowe były produkowane w Niemczech, skąd dostarczano je do Polski. Czas pokazał, że popyt na prefabrykaty oferowane przez firmę HABA-Beton był tak duży, że doprowadziło to do wybudowania zakładu produkcyjnego.

Initially a small sales office was established while precast concrete and reinforced concrete products were manufactured in Germany and delivered to Poland. Time has shown that the demand for concrete products offered by HABA-Beton was so huge that it led to the construction of a production plant.

Zapewnienie bezpieczeństwa jest niezwykle istotne we wszelkiego rodzaju zakładach produkcyjnych jak i w obszarze świadczenia usług. Jednym ze sposobów zapewniania bezpieczeństwa jest wykorzystywanie skanerów laserowych. W artykule przedstawiono obszary zastosowana skanerów laserowych w warunkach przemysłowych oraz omówiono podstawowe parametry techniczne, które determinują możliwość zastosowania skanerów do pełnienia funkcji bezpieczeństwa. Dokonano również oceny możliwości zastosowania przykładowego skanera S300 firmy SICK do ochrony wybranej grupy maszyn. Artykuł przedstawia także opracowany przez Autorów moduł bezpieczeństwa stanowiska roboczego wykorzystujący w/w skaner laserowy i technologię RFID.

Security is extremely important in all kinds of factories as well as in the area of provision of services. One way to provide security is the use of laser scanners. The article presents the used laser scanners in industrial applications and discusses the key technical parameters that determine the possibility of using scanners to perform safety functions. We also assessed the applicability of the sample S300 scanner from SICK for the protection of the selected group of machines. This article presents also developed by the authors workstation security module using the laser scanner and RFID.

Fabryka w Barcinie jest czwartym zakładem produkcyjnym wchodzącym w skład grupy MAPEI w Polsce. Pragnienie jego powrotu, w nieco odmienionej postaci i przy równoczesnym zachowaniu pierwotnego charakteru towarzyszy artystom już od wielu lat. Pozostaje zadać sobie tylko jedno pytanie: na ile jesteśmy w stanie ingerować w stan istniejący aby całość założenia nadal emanowała swoja indywidualnością?

The article describes the changes the men-made environment, when abandoned places start to be only history's sad memory. Forgotten, locked in the city and losing its spirit. The desire for its return, in a slightly altered form while preserving its original character engages artists for many years. There is one question that needs to be asked: to what extent are we able to interfere with the existing state of the whole establishment so it doesn't lose its original individuality?

Pierwsze transformatory w Elektrobudowie - Wytwórni Maszyn Elektrycznych sp. akc. w Łodzi powstały w roku 1925. Rozwój Elektrobudowy zahamowała druga wojna światowa, nie spowodowała jednak jej zniszczenia. Ogromny rozwój nastąpił po wojnie i upaństwowieniu fabryki. W 1958 jako kontynuację rozpoczęto budowę nowej fabryki o nazwie ELTA na terenie przedmieścia łódzkiego. Po przemianach ustrojowych fabrykę sprywatyzowano i Skarb Państwa sprzedał udział większościowy Grupie ABB. Omówiono również działanie fabryki w ramach tego koncernu do chwili bieżącej.

The paper shortly describes the history of creation and de velopment of the transformer factory in Lodz. First transformers were manufactured m 1925 in Elektrobudowa - Transformer Manufactory Ltd. Its activity was slowed by the second World War but the factory was not destroyed. A great development followed after the War when the state overtook the factory. In 1958 the built of a new large factory named ELTA was begun in the suburb of Lodz as continuation of the old one. After the structural changes in Poland the factory obtained the status of a Company and 51% of its share was purchased to the Group ABB. The paper describes the activity of the factory in frames of ABB up to the present time as well.

Żyrardów is a model example of an industrial complex together with its administrative-social-tenement backup; carried out on the basis of perfectly measured conception both in respect of spatial setting and introduced architectural and functional solutions. The main factor which contributed to the inception of the town and its development was the foundation of the linen products factory. With time the whole settlement and modern infrastructure was built for its maintenance. In objects belonging to the factory there appears their clear variability in regard to the size of blocks and minuteness of architectural details. Żyrardów, intensively developed in the 19th century was one of very few worker's settlements in Poland, carried out according to the project of perfect cities. Currently the cultural sphere of works is undergoing degradation. To prevent progressive destruction it is advisable to formulate a revitalisation program - a plan of spatial development of the whole complex of former works. At the same time we have to remember the appropriate exploitation of the cultural sphere to preserve the antique character of the ideal composition and unique values of industrial architecture.
