Purpose: The paper presents the issues related to the development of foreign direct investments during covid pandemic time. Design/methodology/approach: The study used world-bank reports from trading economics portal and Ernst and Young study. Findings: The aim of the article is to present the changes in the inflow of foreign direct investment in the face of the global Covid 19 coronavirus pandemic to Poland. Originality/value: The publication presents the results of research conducted on the basis trading economics portal and Ernst and Young study. on the basis of the literature analysis, it is possible to that will have an impact on direct and foreign investments: rapid technological development aimed at reducing costs and expansion to new customers, regional commitment to counteracting climate change and commitment to sustainable development, new proportions resulting from the reorganization of the supply chain (reshoring, nearshoring, offshoring).

Purpose: The paper presents the issues related to the development of electronic commerce. Design/methodology/approach: The study used world-bank reports from statista portal. Findings: The purpose of this article is to present the development of electronic commerce and investment climate of Poland on the example of Lower Silesia created by economic, social, political and legal-administrative conditions. The economic conditions inform the foreign investor about the condition of the economy of the country receiving the investment. Functioning types of e-business and basic business models used in e-commerce were also presented. Furthermore, they were characterized by payment methods used in online sales. Based on a chart developed on the basis of statistical data analysis of consumer-preferred online payment methods was also made. Originality/value: The publication presents the results of research conducted on the basis of statista international portal.

Currently, foreign direct investment (FDI) is considered the most important factor of regional development in the world, as it significantly influences the functioning of regional economic structures and the degree of their use, which is particularly noticeable in some countries, including Poland. In the global economy, most FDI is located in highly developed countries. However, for several years, there has been an increase in the inflow of FDI to developing countries, among them Poland, which has become one of the largest recipients of foreign capital from among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In the report Investor’s Guide - Poland - How to do business (2017), it was emphasised that Poland’s accession to the European Union opened the Polish market to foreign enterprises and created favourable conditions for investing in Poland. Therefore, the aim of this article is to present the regional distribution of foreign direct investment in Poland, with a particular view to presenting differences in the volume of foreign direct investment inflows to individual Polish regions and what conditions them. In the statistical analysis, the determinants of FDI inflow to Poland between 2010 and 2017 referred to selected macroeconomic indicators that allow the foreign investor to determine the level of economic stability of a country or region. This choice was based on literature and own research on the investment attractiveness of a country and the determinants of FDI inflow. The empirical part of the article was prepared on the basis of GUS statistical data. This source of data was opted for, as it enabled showing FDI engagement by provinces.

Gospodarka otwarta to taka, która powiązana jest z innymi gospodarkami narodowymi wieloma współzależnościami. Dużą rolę w gospodarce oraz procesach globalizacji ogrywają korporacje transnarodowe. Można wskazać na pewną zależność, tj. na rozwój korporacji transnarodowych wpływa poziom otwartości gospodarek natomiast na intensywność powiązań gospodarek narodowych mają wpływ korporacje transnarodowe. KTN pozytywnie lub negatywnie mogą oddziaływać na rozwój gospodarczy regionów i państw macierzystych oraz goszczących. Poziom bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych w polskich regionach jest zróżnicowany co potwierdzają przedstawione w artykule dane statystyczne z 2009 r.

The economy which is connected with other economies many interdependencies is called: open economy. Transnational corporations play a large role in the economy and the processes of globalization. We can point to a relationship: the level of openness of economies influence the development of transnational corporations and transnational corporations have an impact on the level of interdependencies of national economies. TNC have a positive or negative influence on economic development of regions and countries. In the Polish regions the level of foreign direct investment is varied what confirm the statistics from 2009.

W Rosji zmniejsza się dynamika wzrostu gospodarczego, co stanowi poważny problem także z politycznego i socjalnego punktu widzenia. Możliwość uniknięcia stagnacji zależy głównie od wzmagania procesu inwestycyjnego. Po długotrwałym i głębokim spadku aktywności gospodarczej wszystkie gałęzie gospodarki mogły przez pewien czas zwiększać produkcję drogą pełniejszego wykorzystania wolnych jeszcze mocy produkcyjnych. Pozwalało to przygotować projekty rozwoju i stworzyć bazę inwestycyjną dla dalszego zrównoważonego rozwoju. Analiza pokazuje jednak, że aktywność inwestycyjna skierowana jest nie na przezwyciężenie niedoskonałości struktury rosyjskiej gospodarki, lecz sprzyja jej utrwaleniu i stagnacji wielu gałęzi przetwórstwa.

The economic growth dynamism in Russia is decreasing and that is a serious problem from as well political as social point of view. The possibility to avoid the stagnation depends mainly on the process investment growth. After the long-lasting and deep fall of economic activity, the all economy branches could for some time increase the production by making use of still free production powers. That allowed to prepare the development projects and to create the investment base for further balanced development. But the analysis shows that the investment activity doesn´t overcome the imperfections of the Russian economy structure, it is favourable to many processing branches stagnation.

W Polsce bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne (BIZ) są przedmiotem systematycznych badań. Badania zmierzają do określenia miejsca podmiotów gospodarczych z udziałem kapitału zagranicznego w gospodarce polskiej oraz roli BIZ we wdrażaniu zasad gospodarki rynkowej. Tylko systematyczne poznawanie realnych uwarunkowań i prawidłowości procesów gospodarowania może prowadzić do nabycia umiejętności pozyskiwania pożądanych BIZ. W artykule przedstawiono uwarunkowania BIZ wynikające z globalizacji oraz dynamikę BIZ w gospodarce światowej.

The analysis of direct foreign investments in Poland is based on the assumption that they are the manifestation of a growing internationalization of the management process known as "globalisation". The authors emphasise the necessity to look for and use in economic practice the relations between the direct foreign investments in Poland and the investments directions determined by the world trends in management processes.
