In this paper we describe the method of characteristics, which allows to find a closed form solution of the classical boundary value problems for linear partial differential equations of hyperbolic type in the case of two independent variables. Necessary and sufficient conditions for each task matching the specified functions, in the right-hand side of the equation and the boundary conditions are proved. The article suggests that the classical solution existence is proved.

W pracy przedstawiono metodę charakterystyk, która pozwala odnajdować w postaci analitycznej, klasyczne rozwiązania zagadnień brzegowych dla układu równań liniowych i różniczkowych cząstkowych, typu hiperbolicznego, w przypadku dwóch niezależnych zmiennych. Udowodniono zgodność warunków koniecznego i wystarczającego, dla każdego zagadnienia funkcji, które wchodzą do prawej części równania, co pozwala twierdzić, że klasyczne rozwiązanie istnieje.

In this work we present new criteria on the existence of three solutions for a class of impulsive nonlinear fractional boundary-value problems depending on two parameters. We use variational methods for smooth functionals defined on reflexive Banach spaces in order to achieve our results.

This paper is devoted to the study of the existence of at least three classical solutions for a second-order multi-point boundary value problem with impulsive effects. We use variational methods for smooth functionals defined on reflexive Banach spaces in order to achieve our results. Also by presenting an example, we ensure the applicability of our results.

W artykule opisujemy metodę charakterystyk, która pozwala znaleźć rozwiązania klasycznych problemów brzegowych w postaci zamkniętej dla liniowych równań różniczkowych cząstkowych typu hiperbolicznego w przypadku dwóch zmiennych niezależnych. Udowodniono warunki konieczne i wystarczające dla każdego zadania z określonymi funkcjami, które są po prawej stronie równania i dla warunków brzegowych, przy których istnieje rozwiązanie klasyczne. Zaprezentowano przegląd wyników dotyczących istnienia rozwiązań klasycznych otrzymanych za pomocą metody charakterystyk.

In this paper we describe the method of characteristics, which allows finding a closed form solution of the classical boundary value problems for linear partial differential equations of hyperbolic type in the case of two independent variables. Necessary and sufficient conditions for each task matching the specified functions, in the right-hand side of the equation and the boundary conditions that allow suggesting that the classical solution exists are proved. Review of existing results concerning the classical solutions obtained by the method of characteristics is given.

In this paper, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of the classical solution to an abstract nonlocal Cauchy problem. For this purpose, we apply a notion of mild solution and the Banach contraction theorem.

The aim of this paper is study the existence and uniqueness of mild and classical solution of the Cauchy problem for a linear and a semilinear evolution equation in Banach space with nonlocal condition. These theorems are proved by using the sun-reflexive Banach space relative to an operator A(0).

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zbadanie istnienia i jednoznaczności całkowego i klasycznego rozwiązania zagadnienia Cauchy'ego dla liniowego i semiliniowego równania ewolucyjnego w przestrzeni Banacha z nielokalnym warunkiem początkowym. Przedstawione w artykule twierdzenia zostały udowodnione przy założeniu sun-refleksywności przestrzeni Banacha względem operatora A(0).

Existence of a mild solution to a semilinear Cauchy problem with an almost sectorial operator is studied. Under additional regularity assumptions on the nonlinearity and initial data we also prove the existence of a classical solution to this problem. An example of a parabolic problem in Holder spaces illustrates the abstract result.
