Znaczną część wyposażenia wnętrz mieszkalnych i użyteczności publicznej stanowią obecnie meble przeznaczone do samodzielnego montażu. Nadanie tej właściwości popularnym typom drewnianych siedzisk i taboretów stało się możliwie głównie dzięki upowszechnieniu się łączników mechanicznych. Podjęte działania to próba stworzenia alternatywnego rodzaju konstrukcji, składającego się z elementów przeznaczonych do bezpośredniego łączenia. Wartością takiego rozwiązania może być uproszczenie sposobu scalania, jak i redukcja kosztów produkcji. Opracowany układ przystosowany jest do wytwarzania przy użyciu plotera frezującego CNC. W tej technice zostały zrealizowane prototypy, których zróżnicowanie świadczy o potencjalnej uniwersalności koncepcji.

Nowadays, furniture items designated for self-assembly constitute a substantial part of residential and public usability interior equipment. Assignment of this value to popular types of wooden seats and stools became possible mainly due to the growing popularity of mechanical connectors. The undertaken actions constitute an attempt to create an alternative type of structure that consists of elements designated for direct connection. The value of such a solution may thus be the simplification of the scaling method as well as reduction of production costs. The elaborated system is adjusted to production with the use of CNC plotter. Prototypes the diversification of which reflects the potential concept universal nature have been realized within this technique.

Opracowana metoda może służyć do matematycznego modelowania mebli gastronomicznych, restauracyjnych i hotelowych typu szkieletowego i skrzyniowego. W proponowanej metodzie podstawą matematycznego modelowania jest sześcian jednostkowy służący do zapisu modeli elementów składowych modelowanego mebla.Sześcian jednostkowy zapisany w postaci macierzowej (współrzędne wierzchołków X, Y, Z) podlega skalowaniu i przesunięciu względem osi X, Y, Z układu współrzędnych. Powiązanie za pomocą formuł matematycznych podstawowych wymiarów elementów (długość, szerokość, wysokość lub grubość) z ich położeniem w przestrzeni (miejscem w meblu) umożliwia szybką zmianę wymiarów modelowanego mebla. Proponowaną metodę wykorzystać można we wstępnym etapie procesu projektowania rodziny elementów mebla.

The developed method can be used for mathematical modeling of dining furniture, restaurant and hotel skeletal and box- type. The proposed method is the basis for mathematical modeling of the unit cube is used to save components modeled models of furniture. Unit cube saved in a matrix form (coordinates of the vertices X, Y, Z) is subject to scaling and offset in the X, Y, Z coordinate system. Related using mathematical formulas basic dimensions of (length, width, height or thickness) of their position in space (a place in the furniture) to quickly change the dimensions of the furniture modeled. The proposed method can be used in the initial stage of the process of designing a family of elements of furniture.

Regardless of the constantly increasing time man is spending in a sitting position, there is still a lack of objective chair quality assessment criteria. The aim of this paper is to find the answer to whether respiratory chest movement measurements can be a chair quality indicator. The study included 34 participants (mean 34.7 years ± 5.2). Their chest movements were assessed using respiratory inductive plethysmography while sitting on two subsequent chairs. Significant differences in chest movements depending on chair type were observed concerning the breathing duct (upper and lower) and breathing movement amplitude. The amplitude of the upper respiratory track in the first chair was higher (239.4 mV) compared with the second seat (207.3 mV) (p = .018). The analyzed parameters of respiratory chest movement may become a helpful indicator for design and selection of chairs which enable people to both work and relax in the most ergonomic conditions.

The influence of trunk inclination on muscle activity during sitting on forward inclined seats

The aim of the study was to estimate the influence of trunk inclination on muscle activity during sitting on forward inclined seats without backrest. The group consisting of thirteen healthy women was examined. Based on anthropometrical data two types of sitting position were adopted with two different angles between thighs and trunk: 120 and 135 degrees. Bioelectrical activity of five muscles was recorded. There was observed statistical influence of the trunk inclination on erector spinae, gastrocnemius lat. and tibialis anterior ( p < 0.05). Especially, the inclination of seat pan influenced tibialis anterior activity (10%), although EMG measured during sitting did not exceed 20% of MVC.

W pracy przedstawiono projekt ergonomicznego siedziska do pracy przy komputerze, a następnie analizę wytrzymałościową jego konstrukcji. Wyniki obliczeń pozwoliły na zweryfikowanie użytych do jego budowy elementów i materiałów, a także ocenę bezpieczeństwa podczas korzystania z siedziska.

The project of ergonomic seat for work with computer and strength analysis of its construction in this paper were presented. The results of calculations admitted of verification elements and materials used to its building. Obtained results allowed estimating safety during use from this seat too.
