W artykule przedstawiono sytuację Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej oraz jej plany w kontekście zbrojenia oraz rozwoju sił zbrojnych. Omówione zostały działania oraz wydarzenia, które przyczyniły się do podjęcia powyższych działań. Poruszona została polityka oraz strategia krajów NATO, jak i głównego przeciwnika sojuszu, czyli Federacji Rosyjskiej. Opisane zostały zakupy polskiej zbrojeniówki oraz kroki podjęte przez siły zbrojne i Ministerstwo Obrony Narodowej w celu zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa narodowi, ale także wzmocnienia potencjału obronnego wschodniej granicy sojuszu północnoatlantyckiego.

The article presents the situation of the Republic of Poland and its plans in the context of armament and development of the armed forces. The activities and events that contributed to the above actions were discussed. The policy and strategy of NATO countries as well as the main opponent of the alliance, i.e. the Russian Federation, were discussed. The purchases of the Polish arms industry and steps taken by the armed forces and the Ministry of National Defense to ensure the security of the nation, but also to strengthen the defense potential of the eastern border of the North Atlantic Alliance, were described.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the operation of the Arms and Machines Factory "Arma" in Lviv. It was one of the first armaments companies in the Second Republic. The company made great contributions to the work of rebuilding Poland after the end of World War I, and from then on, by fulfilling the orders of the Polish Army, had an impact on the security and defense of the country. The study is based on archival materials collected in Poland and Ukraine, published sources, the press and scientific studies.

The geopolitical situation after February 24, 2022 changed rapidly. The issues of globalization and industrial linkages have taken on new importance. Cooperation in supply chains is no longer based solely on cost minimization. The economic aspect was relegated to the background in favor of the availability of raw materials and goods. Against this background, the arms industry is taking on a new dimension and its effectiveness, operational efficiency and innovation become the conditions for maintaining a sense of security within NATO and the European Union. The aim of this article is an attempt to identify the determinants of the armaments industry strategy of the times of war and unrest. The speed of action becomes a determinant of the armaments industry functioning. It is necessary to cooperate with enterprises that were not active in the processes of arms production so far.

Przedsiębiorstwo Innowacyjne Odlewnictwa Specodlew Sp. z o.o. jest znanym w Polsce producentem odlewów, w tym precyzyjnych. Realizacja badań ujętych w harmonogramie projektu ma stworzyć możliwość znacznego poszerzenia zakresu możliwości wykonawczych zakładu o cienkościenne odlewy staliwne, o założonych własnościach mechanicznych dotychczas w Polsce nie produkowanych. Połączenie opracowanych w ramach projektu: innowacyjnego tworzywa modelu woskowego, składu i sposobu wykonania formy ceramicznej, składu chemicznego tworzywa odlewu z innowacyjną technologią odlewania precyzyjnego oraz obróbką cieplną wykonanych cienkościennych odlewów pozwoli na wykonanie z przebadanych stopów żelaza wyrobów o dużej dokładności wymiarowej, założonej wytrzymałości mechanicznej oraz wdrożenie tej technologii do własnej produkcji przemysłowej.

PIO Specodlew Sp. z o.o. is a known manufacturer of castings in Poland, including precision ones. The implementation of the research included in the project's schedule aims to create the possibility of significantly broadening the scope of the plant's implementation capabilities, with thin-walled steel castings, procesing mechanical properties that are not yet produced in Poland. The combination of innovative wax-based material, composition and method of the ceramic mold making, chemical composition of a cast material with innovative precision casting technology and heat treatment of thin-walled castings developed within the framework of the project will allow us to manufacture products of high dimensional accuracy, mechanical strength assumed from tested iron alloys and implementing this technology for own industrial production.

Artykuł prezentuje wybrane problemy funkcjonowania narodowego przemysłu zbrojeniowego, w tym proces jego konsolidacji. Przedstawia korelację procesów produkcji specjalnej z systemem planowania i realizacji priorytetowych programów zbrojenia. Sformułowano w nim wnioski, które być może pozwolą uruchomić mechanizmy wspierające narodowy przemysł zbrojeniowy w implementacji innowacyjnych technologii na rzecz Sił Zbrojnych RP i gospodarki cywilnej oraz zwiększą ich dotychczasowy udział w realizacji usług logistycznych w obszarze zaopatrywania jednostek organizacyjnych resortu obrony narodowej wykonujących zadania w kraju i poza jego granicami.

This article presents selected operating issues of the national arms industry, including the process of its consolidation. It shows a correlation between special production processes and the planning and implementation system of the priority armament programs. The conclusions drawn in the article may allow to initiate mechanisms supporting national arms industry in the implementation of innovative technologies for the national Armed Forces and civilian economy as well as increase their previous participation in delivery of logistics support in the area of procurement for the organizational unites of the Ministry of National Defence, performing tasks within the country and abroad.

W artykule zaprezentowano przegląd informacji na temat rozwijającej się od lat 90. XX w. dziedziny wiedzy, jaką jest nanotechnologia. Przedstawiono możliwości zastosowań nanotechnologii w przemyśle zbrojeniowym poprzez tworzenie mniejszych, lżejszych, szybszych i bardziej wydajnych materiałów i urządzeń. Zwrócono uwagę na zagrożenia, jakie może powodować postęp tej technologii.

Nanotechnology gives solution for many problems in scientific fields and industries. It is one of the most dynamically developing technology, which gives huge prospects and hopes to solve modern world problems. Nanomaterials, due to small dimensions and better properties than their micrometric analogues, have found wide application in arms industry. Nanomaterials are used to product materials for soldiers protection, for communication devices, detection enemy and for armament. However keep in mind, that nanotechnology has many benefits, but it also has threats (in range of safety), which should be taken into account and eliminated at the basic research chase.

The last years of Poland’s independence were characterized by aboard of scope investments, especially in the area of the Central Industrial Region (abbreviated in Polish as COP), a majority of which were a part of the Six-Year Plan of modernization and development of the Polish Army. According to the investment plan twelve factories of direct arms industry were to built in the COP with a major factory of the Southern Works in Stalowa Wola. A register of the Polish military works in 1938 included 44 state factories and 204 private ones.

Nowoczesne lotnicze kierowane pociski rakietowe produkowane są zaledwie w kilku krajach, a niektóre ich rodzaje tylko w USA i Rosji. Wynika to nie tylko z konieczności opanowania przez producentów skomplikowanych technologii związanych z wytwarzaniem specyficznych podzespołów pocisków, ale także ze zróżnicowaniem potrzeb wojsk lotniczych działających w różnych warunkach. W praktyce bowiem pociski dalekiego zasięgu przydatne są tylko w działaniach nad rozległymi przestrzeniami np. terytorium USA lub Rosji, a dla większości krajów wystarczające są pociski krótkiego (do 15 km) lub średniego zasięgu.
