Agile Methodology as a tool for reducing information asymmetry in the implementation of it projects completed on the basis of the outsourcing strategy

An excessively high level of information asymmetry between the supplier and the client occurring during the whole life cycle of an MIS is an important factor influencing the success of a project. The methods chosen to minimise information asymmetry in IT projects constitute an important research area which can impact their successful outcome. The aim of this article is to present research results on the use of Agile Methodology as a tool for minimising information asymmetry as part of an IT project completion consisting in a DMS system implementation with the use of outsourcing. The article may be interesting both for theoreticians of business informatics and for practitioners specializing in IT project implementation.

In recent decades, several interesting and worrying processes could have been observed as regards the implementation of transport telematics ITS in transport networks. The processes are particularly vivid in conurbations. On the one hand, the processes are connected to city planning and expansion of cities. On the other, these problems are directly related to the interface of the settlement network (land management) and transport network. The article describes the issue using an example of the Upper Silesia conurbation. Problems described should provide a basis for coordinating spatial policy in cities and planning of transport networks, including planned installation of ITS.

W zakresie implementacji systemów telematyki transportu ITS dla sieci transportowych w ostatnich dekadach można zaobserwować kilka interesujących i niepokojących procesów. Procesy te są zwłaszcza silnie obserwowalne w obszarach konurbacyjnych. Z jednej strony są to procesy związane z problematyką planowania miast, ich ekspansywnym rozwojem terytorialnym. Z drugiej strony są to bezpośrednio problemy dotyczące procesów obserwowanych na styku sieci osiedleńczej (gospodarki obszarowej) oraz sieci transportowej. W artykule opisano tą problematykę na przykładzie konurbacji górnośląskiej. Opisane problemy winny stać się przesłanką do koordynacji polityki przestrzennej w miastach z równoległym planowaniem rozwoju sieci transportowych, w tym ściśle z planowaną instalacją systemów ITS.

W pracy poruszono problem doboru metod szacowania kosztów modyfikacji systemu ERP podczas wdrożenia. Przeprowadzono przegląd dostępnych metod opisanych w literaturze oraz scharakteryzowano etapy fazy strategicznej procesu wdrożenia. Na podstawie analizy zakresu danych wymaganych przez poszczególne metody oraz danych uzyskiwanych na różnych etapach, zaproponowano algorytmy doboru metod do tychże etapów.

The work discusses the problem of selecting methods for valuing the costs of modifying ERP systems during implementation process. The methods presented in literature have been reviewed and the stages of strategic phase of implementation have been characterised. On the basis of the analysis of data required by each method and the data obtained at different stages, algorithms of method selection for each stage ware proposed.
