Zewnętrzna ocena jakości pracy laboratorium stanowi narzędzie do właściwego zarządzania laboratorium. Na świecie funkcjonuje wiele różnych programów zewnętrznej kontroli jakości przeznaczonych dla laboratoriów mikrobiologicznych. W Polsce Centralny Ośrodek Badań Jakości w Diagnostyce Mikrobiologicznej organizuje Ogólnopolski Sprawdzian Wiarygodności Badań w Mikrobiologii. Od roku 2015 Program POLMICRO przeprowadzono zgodnie z wymaganiami normy PN-EN ISO/IEC 1704:2011. Celem programu POLMICRO jest ocena biegłości laboratoriów w identyfikacji drobnoustrojów, oznaczaniu i klinicznej interpretacji wrażliwości bakterii na antybiotyki, wykrywaniu różnych mechanizmów oporności, oceny mikroskopowej preparatów barwionych metodą Grama.

External Quality Assessment (EQA) of laboratory work is a tool to manage a lab. In the world there are many different programs of External Quality Control (EQC) designed for microbiology laboratories. In Poland, the Centre for Quality Control in Microbiology (CQCM) organizes the National External Quality Assessment Scheme in Microbiological Diagnostics – POLMICRO. Since 2015, POLMICRO has been conducted according to the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17043:2011. The aim of the POLMICRO 2015 programme is to evaluate the proficiency of laboratories in the identification of microorganisms, determination and clinical interpretation of bacteria susceptibility to antibiotics, detection of different resistance mechanisms and interpretation of Gram slides.

The International Quality School, organized second time in Warsaw under the patronage of Polish deputy prime minister, invited the winners of the EQA (European Quality Award). The additional participation of Japaneses, many experiences and opinions based on American achievements, endowed really the worldwide dimension of the meetings. The description of all presentations, with the most important conclusions or indications, ore the context of that elaboration. The production sector, services and administration, ore the objects of considerations in very concrete and practical approaches, where the theory, progressive reflexions and consequence executed, permited to achieve oppriopriate level of programmed goals. The overcoming of difficulties, mentality problems or many other complicated situations, appearing during the implementation of changes, demonstrate the similar possibilities in action and success for everyone. It presents this paper.
