Antifeedants Impact of Plant Essential Oil on Green Peach Aphid on Potato Crops

The antifeedant activities of different essential oils (EO) were tested against green peach aphids, and their potential role in inducing plant resistance pathways on potato cultivars was studied. Measuring the two common enzyme indicators, guaiacol Peroxidase (POX) and Polyphenol oxidase (PPO), expressed post-physical or chemical injury in plants. The impact of EO on aphid feeding behaviour was monitored using Electrical Penetration Graph (EPG) recording for 8 hrs post-treatment. The effect of the EO on aphid mortality was measured in vitro. The results showed that 60% of the essential oil extracts have insecticidal activity against M. persicae. The results also revealed that some EO has significantly increased the PPO level and had no significant impact of the different treatments on POX and insect behaviour than the control. Mustard, Sage, Jojoba, Eucalyptus, Bitter cucumber, Camphor, and Rosemary oil have natural induction in potato. Camphor, Sage, Pomegranate, and Bitter-cucumber caused a disturbance in the settling behavior of M. persicae and prolonged searching for a feeding site. Mustard, Eucalyptus, and Sage resulted in delaying drop potential associated with non-persistent and semi-persistent viruses. Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Mustard caused a delay in sieve element behavior related to persistent virus transmission.

The current study examined the impact of influential factors innovation capability and competitiveness on entrepreneurial orientation. Entrepreneurial orientation leads towards business success, the study examined the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance with moderating role of entrepreneurial education. The present study collected data from professional entrepreneurs with different experience and industries in South Korea. The study depicted that all direct hypotheses were accepted but moderating role was rejected on statistical grounds. Entrepreneurial activities escalate business activity through utilization of capable and competitive workforce. South Korea shifting their industry based economy towards entrepreneurial setups to strengthen their economy and to utilize the educated unemployed youth. Entrepreneurship provides business opportunities on creative and innovative grounds to contribute for nations' economy.

W przedstawionym artykule pokazano wpływ wpływających czynników na innowacyjność i konkurencyjność na zorientowanie na przedsiębiorczość. Orientacja na przedsiębiorczość prowadzi do sukcesu w biznesie, w badaniu zbadano wpływ orientacji na przedsiębiorczość oraz na wyniki biznesowe z moderującą rolą edukacji w zakresie przedsiębiorczości. W niniejszym badaniu zebrano dane od profesjonalnych przedsiębiorców z różnym doświadczeniem i branżami w Korei Południowej. Badanie pokazało, że wszystkie bezpośrednie hipotezy zostały zaakceptowane, ale moderująca rola została odrzucona ze względów statystycznych. Działalność przedsiębiorcza prowadzi do eskalacji działalności gospodarczej poprzez wykorzystanie zdolnej i konkurencyjnej siły roboczej. Korea Południowa zmienia gospodarkę opartą na przemyśle na rozwiązania przedsiębiorcze, aby wzmocnić swoją gospodarkę i wykorzystać wykształconą bezrobotną młodzież. Przedsiębiorczość zapewnia możliwości biznesowe w oparciu o kreatywne i innowacyjne podstawy, przyczyniając się do rozwoju gospodarki narodowej.

Earth Observation (EO) products are widely used by geospatial society. Over the last years a number of new applications of satellite imagery were proposed. This led to an increased interest in EO products, not only from researchers but also from companies and individuals. The authors constitute the essential part of the team that created the marine, web-GIS system - SafeCity GIS - for dissemination of data obtained from a 1.5 metre HRPT-MetOp satellite ground receiving station. To increase the operationability of the system the authors successfully attempted to broaden the offered functionality by integration with Service Support Environment (SSE). Due to this, EO products for the Pomeranian Region are served as web-services; amongst them there are True Color imagery, meteorological, algae monitoring and fire-detection services. The authors present the created solution for web service support for GIS system based on Service Support Environment and discuss its advantages and disadvantages.

Uses of Earth Observation (EO) in landslide investigations are reviewed followed by discussion of their causal factors and types of slope deformation. Secondary surface indicators of changes to limit equilibrium are described and their impacts on factors of safety and deformation in different classes of geotechnical materials are tabulated for use as an input to hazard mapping.

Artykuł przedstawia zastosowania teledetekcji satelitarnej (EO) w badaniu osuwisk egzaminując główne przyczyny ruchów osuwiskowych i typy deformacji stoków. Wprowadzono koncepcję pośrednich indykatorów rozpoznawalnych na powierzchni Ziemi i wskazujących na zmiany granicy równowagi stoków. Wpływ tych zmian na współczynnik bezpieczeństwa i na deformacje stoków jest analizowany z uwzględnieniem różnych klas materiałów geotechnicznych. Wyniki są przedstawione syntetycznie w formie tabeli, wskazującej ich zastosowanie do kartowania stopnia zagrożenia osuwiskowego.
