Estimating the Determinants of the Passenger Air Transport Recovery After the Crisis Caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic Based on Quantitative Methods

For the past several decades, air transport has been developing smoothly, and forecasts were very optimistic. The Covid-19 pandemic set this development back a minimum of two decades. According to the black swan theory, this is not bad news but a stimulus for a change. Every crisis causes improvements in economic processes. The pandemic has forced every business entity present in the market to learn lessons and implement new solutions to help overcome future crises, the occurrence of which seems inevitable. This article attempts to estimate economic parameters, which are best correlated with the structure of the airline industry operation in Poland, and thus answers questions about the scope of macroeconomic decisions necessary to be taken to rebuild the volume of checked-in passengers in Polish air transport.

Zakłócenia występujące podczas realizacji procesów budowlanych, gdzie głównym czynnikiem zakłócającym jest czynnik hydrologiczny są bardzo trudne do przewidzenia. Na przykładzie budowy Trasy Mostu Północnego w Warszawie kluczowym czynnikiem zakłócającym był wyjątkowo wysoki stan wody rzeki Wisły. W artykule zostanie wyjaśnione, czy zakłócenia, które pojawiły się w trakcie realizacji inwestycji, były możliwe do przewidzenia lub/i w jaki sposób można byłoby ograniczyć ich negatywny wpływ tak, by nie powodowały wydłużenia czasu realizacji oraz nie tworzyły dodatkowych kosztów inwestycji. Dokonany zostanie podział działań umożliwiających ograniczenie wpływu zakłóceń na realizację procesów budowlanych na etapie projektowania oraz realizacji inwestycji poprzez wprowadzenie elastyczności.

Disturbances occurring during construction processes where the main disturbing factor is the hydrological factor are very difficult to predict. In the example of the construction of the North Bridge Route in Warsaw, the extremely high water level of the Vistula River was the key disturbing factor. The article will explain whether the disruptions that occurred during the implementation of the investment were foreseeable and/or how could their negative impact be limited, so that they did not extend the implementation time and did not create additional investment costs. Actions will be divided to limit the impact of disruptions on the implementation of construction processes at the design and implementation stage of the investment by introducing flexibility.

Przewodnim celem artykułu jest próba ukazania sposobów kształtowania się ludzkiej tożsamości w świecie toczących się procesów globalizacyjnych. Podejmując refleksję nad niniejszymi zagadnieniami, szczególną uwagę zwracam na wpływ niestabilnego otoczenia określanego akronimem VUCA oraz sytuację wydarzania się zdarzeń lub zjawisk mało prawdopodobnych ujmowanych symbolem Czarnego Łabędzia Nassima Nicolas Taleba. Czyniąc punktem wyjścia rozważań aksjologię jako etykę samookreślania się podmiotu wobec siebie i otoczenia, przyglądam się jakości ludzkiego życia. W artykule, w sposób systematyczny, poruszam zagadnienia: rozumienia tożsamości, znaczenia globalizacji (w jej indywidualnym i wspólnotowym wymiarze) oraz glokalizacji z uwzględnieniem znamiennych cech człowieka kultury euroamerykańskiej, by w rezultacie prowadzonych analiz przedstawić charakterystykę VUCA i Czarnych Łabędzi.

The main purpose of the article is to is exhibition of manners formation the human identity in the world rolled globalization processes. Undertaking reflection over present problems, a special attention I return on the influence of the uncertain environment qualified with the VUCA acronym and situation of occurring itself events or occurrences of the highly improbable seized with symbol of Black Swans Nassim Nicolas Taleb. Making the starting point of my considerations is axiology as ethics of self-qualifying subject towards myself and environments, I look the quality of human life. In the article, in a systematic way, I address following issues: understanding of identity, role of globalization (in individual and community dimension) and glocalisation, taking into account significant features of the Euro-American culture man, in order to present characteristic of VUCA and Black Swans.
