Electro-Kinetic Remediation of Nickel from Contaminated Soil Using Bio remedies Banana Peels and Surfactant-Enhanced

Pollution of the soil by different types of heavy metals is one of the most important problems of the environment. The present study used an electro-kinetic remediation, which is one of the important advanced techniques for the removal nickel from contaminated sandy soil. The study includes many experiments with different pH electrode purging solutions (distilled water at pH of 3, 5 and 7). Anionic surfactant (sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate, AOT) was used for washing soil as surfactant-enhanced remediation. Bio remedies banana peels (BP) were utilized as eco-friendly, low cost and adsorbent materials to avoid reverse osmosis that effects on the removal process. The results indicated that the greatest removal efficiency (65.2%) was achieved at the pH of purging solution (3) in comparison with pH of (5 and 7). This means that when the pH of the purging solution decreases, the removal efficiency increases. Using AOT as a soil-washing solution increased nickel dissolution and desorption from surface of the soil. Then, the AOT micelles containing nickel easily migrated to the cathode chamber by flow of the electro osmotic; thus, the removal efficiency increased (74.8%). In conclusion, the use of AOT is effective in enhancing nickel removal through the electro kinetic remediation. Bio remedies using banana peels is considered as a successful adsorbent material to avoid the reverse osmosis flow, this will give a new thought for the application these products as adsorption medium.

The current study examined the impact of influential factors innovation capability and competitiveness on entrepreneurial orientation. Entrepreneurial orientation leads towards business success, the study examined the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance with moderating role of entrepreneurial education. The present study collected data from professional entrepreneurs with different experience and industries in South Korea. The study depicted that all direct hypotheses were accepted but moderating role was rejected on statistical grounds. Entrepreneurial activities escalate business activity through utilization of capable and competitive workforce. South Korea shifting their industry based economy towards entrepreneurial setups to strengthen their economy and to utilize the educated unemployed youth. Entrepreneurship provides business opportunities on creative and innovative grounds to contribute for nations' economy.

W przedstawionym artykule pokazano wpływ wpływających czynników na innowacyjność i konkurencyjność na zorientowanie na przedsiębiorczość. Orientacja na przedsiębiorczość prowadzi do sukcesu w biznesie, w badaniu zbadano wpływ orientacji na przedsiębiorczość oraz na wyniki biznesowe z moderującą rolą edukacji w zakresie przedsiębiorczości. W niniejszym badaniu zebrano dane od profesjonalnych przedsiębiorców z różnym doświadczeniem i branżami w Korei Południowej. Badanie pokazało, że wszystkie bezpośrednie hipotezy zostały zaakceptowane, ale moderująca rola została odrzucona ze względów statystycznych. Działalność przedsiębiorcza prowadzi do eskalacji działalności gospodarczej poprzez wykorzystanie zdolnej i konkurencyjnej siły roboczej. Korea Południowa zmienia gospodarkę opartą na przemyśle na rozwiązania przedsiębiorcze, aby wzmocnić swoją gospodarkę i wykorzystać wykształconą bezrobotną młodzież. Przedsiębiorczość zapewnia możliwości biznesowe w oparciu o kreatywne i innowacyjne podstawy, przyczyniając się do rozwoju gospodarki narodowej.

Electromagnetism-like Mechanism (EM) method is known as one of metaheuristics. The basic idea is one that a set of parameters is regarded as charged particles and the strength of particles is corresponding to the value of the objective function for the optimization problem. Starting from any set of initial assignment of parameters, the parameters converge to a value including the optimal or semi-optimal parameter based on EM method. One of its drawbacks is that it takes too much time to the convergence of the parameters like other meta-heuristics. In this paper, we introduce hybrid methods combining EM and the descent method such as BP, k-means and FIS and show the performance comparison among some hybrid methods. As a result, it is shown that the hybrid EM method is superior in learning speed and accuracy to the conventional methods.

Issues related to business driven telecommunications network management are discussed in this article. A solution to the problem of keeping telecom organisations and technologies synchronised is also presented. The solution is the process management system.
