The boundary-element formulation for the present vortex/airfoil (blade) studies in the time-domain is first presented. Basic studies of vortex dynamic problems include those of airfoil-interaction, vortex-airfoil interaction and blade-blade interaction. Computed examples presented include the impulsively-started blade pair problem, i.e., generalization of the Wagner-function problem; and the oscillatory blade pair problem, i.e., generalization of the Theodorsen-function problem.
