The article deals with the question of the evolution of polychromy in the L'viv architecture in the period of the second half of the 17th century to the first half of the 19th century. On the base of field and historical research, the author considers polychrome techniques, the colour palette, and the main principles and peculiarities of polychromy use on the façades and interiors of L'viv buildings of the Baroque and Classicism periods.

W artykule przedstawiono ewolucję polichromii w architekturze Lwowa w okresie od drugiej połowy XVII wieku do pierwszej połowy XIX wieku. Na podstawie historyczno-terenowych badań autorka analizuje technikę polichromii, palety kolorów oraz podstawowe zasady i cechy wykorzystania polichromii na elewacjach i we wnętrzach budynków lwowskich okresu baroku i klasycyzmu.

On the base of field research, polychrome techniques and materials on the facades of L`viv buildings in the second half of the nineteenth century have been classified. On the base of the analysis of archive documents, periodicals, address books and catalogues, we have found companies and manufacturers of polychrome techniques and materials, identified architects who influenced upon their use.

Na podstawie badań terenowych zostały sklasyfikowane techniki polichromii i materiały na elewacjach budynków Lwowa z drugiej połowie XIX wieku. Na podstawie analizy dokumentów archiwalnych, periodyków, książek adresowych i katalogów odnaleziono firmy i producentów technik i materiałów polichromatycznych, zidentyfikowanych architektów, którzy wpłynęli na ich wykorzystanie.

W artykule opisano techniki i metody wykonywania szybkich szkiców urbanistycznych. Określono strukturę programu warsztatów zgodnie z celami kursu projektowania na Politechnice Lwowskiej. Na podstawie wyników warsztatów stworzono usystematyzowany katalog rysunków willi Lwowa, przeanalizowano kompozycyjne i stylistyczne cechy zabudowy willowej oraz wyszczególniono główne problemy związane z ich ochroną konserwatorską.

The aim and task of the architectural and urban planning workshops of sketches of villa housing in Lviv were formulated as a component of urban studies at the Lviv Polytechnic. The techniques and methods of quick urban sketches were described. The structure of the programme of the workshops is determined in accordance with the objectives of the designing course. On the basis of the workshops results, a systematic catalogue of the drawings of Lviv villas was created, the compositional and stylistic features of villa development were analyzed and the problems of their conservation were specified.

There have been formulated goals and foundations of the urban drawing workshop in the education program of student architect-urban planner, as well as the techniques and methods of implementation of quick sketches. There have been determined the structure of the workshop program, which runs parallel to the semester projects: the first year sketches include small forms and detail, the second year - historical villas districts; in the third year - urban spaces (streets, courtyards, squares) and panoramas of the city.

Sformułowane cele i założenia dotyczą warsztatów z rysunku urbanistycznego w programie edukacji studenta architekta-urbanisty, a także techniki i metody realizacji szybkich szkiców. Określono strukturę programową warsztatów, która biegnie równolegle do projektów semestralnych: na pierwszym roku szkice obejmują małe formy i detal, na drugim roku - historyczną zabydowę willową; na trzecim roku – wnętrza urbanistyczne (ulice, podwórka, place) i panoramy miasta.
