The article shows the situation of financial liquidity of hosiery producers. The text is divided in three parts. The first part contains ratios discrihing the liquidity in the hosiery industry also compared to other branches. In the second part the author tries to find the causes of problems with the liquidity. The third part describes solutions, which can be helpful to avoid financial problems. Financial liquidity seems to be very important especially in the hosiery industry, which must run up against many dificulties and problems, so the solutions presented in the article may be usefull for the manufactures.

This article describes directions of investments in the hosiery industry and shows difficulties of the investment process. Main problems are concentrated on insufficient investment in the research and development and the purchase of old and used machines. The article also compairs levels and directions of investments in other branches. The last part of the article shows the characteristic of the returns on investments in the hosiery industry.

The article is addressed to the hosiery producers and shows the profitability of their activity. The indexes of profitability in this branch are very low, and the author show some solutions, which may be useful for the producers and help their business to be profitable. The first part of the article shows the structure of costs and some indexes of profitability, which describe the present situation. There is also a second part which contains most important advices for smaller and bigger manufactures.
