Artykuł przedstawia obecną sytuację zespołu wypoczynkowego w Ustroniu Jaszowcu. Po okresie prosperity ośrodków wczasowych będących we władaniu przedsiębiorstw państwowych nastał okres prywatyzacji i przekształceń. Zaprojektowany kompleksowo w latach sześćdziesiątych zespół architektoniczny w wyniku braku ochrony prawnej oraz jednolitej wizji władz samorządowych został poddany miejscowym działaniom inwestorów prywatnych. Zagrażają one spójności założenia i zdaniem autora należy podjąć zdecydowane działania zapobiegające postępującej dezintegracji zespołu architektonicznego. Celem artykułu jest określenie kierunków ochrony wartości kulturowych Jaszowca. Najważniejsze postulaty to pilna potrzeba wykonania Studium Rewitalizacji i Rozwoju Dzielnicy Wczasowej oraz wpis zespołu do rejestru zabytków.

The article outlines the current situation of the resort complex in Ustroń Jaszowiec. After a period of prosperity of holiday resorts owned by state enterprises, a period of privatization and transformation has followed. The architectural complex was designed comprehensively in the 1960s. In case of the lack of legal protection and a unified vision of local authorities, the complex has been subjected to local actions of private investors. They threaten the coherence of the assumption and, according to the author, decisive actions should be taken to prevent the progressive disintegration of the architectural complex. The aim of the article is to formulate guidelines for the protection of the Jaszowiec cultural values. The most important demands are the urgent need to carry out a Study on the Revitalization and Development of the Holiday District and the entry of the complex into the register of monuments.

Artykuł przedstawia koncept architektoniczny Bistro Food&Coffee stworzony dla sieci sklepów AGATA S.A. W okresie trwania pandemii COVID-19 wszelka działalność gastronomiczna stała się problematyczna, w związku z czym wystąpiła konieczność modyfikacji wcześniej przyjętych strategii ekonomicznych, biznesowych, a także architektonicznych. Spośród zrealizowanych obiektów pozostało kilka, ale nowo projektowane przyjmują swoją postać, rekomponując istniejące elementy wyposażenia w duchu ekologii czyli recyklingu. Dzięki przyjętym na wstępie założeniom koncepcja architektoniczna bistro okazała się elastyczna i podatna na zmieniające się uwarunkowania.

The article presents the architectural concept of Bistro Food&Coffee created for the AGATA S.A. stores. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all gastronomic activities have become problematic, and therefore it was necessary to modify the previously adopted economic, business and architectural strategies. From among the completed objects, there are still a few, but the newly designed objects take their form by "re-composing" the existing elements of equipment in the spirit of ecology. Thanks to the assumptions made at the beginning, the architectural concept of the bistro turned out to be flexible and susceptible to changing conditions.

Artykuł podejmuje polemikę na temat aktualnego stanu prawnego w dziedzinie wentylacji i jakości powietrza wewnętrznego w kontekście pandemii COVID-19. Obecne problemy związane z bezpieczeństwem sanitarnym, a także komfortem użytkowników skłaniają nas do konieczności korekty stosowanych założeń czy strategii. Pomocna wydawać się może analiza oraz próba implementacji rozwiązań stosowanych w architekturze historycznej. Konkluzją są wytyczne w kierunku działań na rzecz rozwiązania obecnych problemów, jak również uniknięcia przyszłych zagrożeń.

Contemporary problems in historical context. The article undertakes a polemic on the current state of legislation in the field of ventilation and indoor air quality in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Current problems of sanitary safety and comfort of users make it necessary to correct the assumptions and strategies used. It may seem helpful to analyze and try to implement solutions used in historical architecture. The conclusion is a guideline for actions towards solving current problems as well as avoiding future threats.

The paper discusses the current problems of green architecture in Poland, yet, its main purpose is to search for historical architectural solutions in the area of broadly defined users’ comfort, thermal comfort and ventilation. The aim of the work is to show an alternative development direction for energy-efficient architecture in relation to more and more strict thermal standards. The paper presents a number of interesting solutions, which, from the point of view of the current technological development, are examples of green architecture, where both energy-efficiency issues as well as thermal comfort and users’ health issues are crucial. The presentation of historic architecture examples is a pretext for a broader look at architecture and for showing contemporary rules, which do not always lead to the most important goal, that is, the creation of sustainable architecture focused on users’ health. The results of the studies cover the formulation of the most important, according to the author, solutions for the future of sustainable architecture. They can be used in the creation of new principles of truly green architecture, where energy efficiency will not conflict with users' comfort and health.
