This paper presents the accuracy investigation results and functionality of Ubisense RTLS positioning system. Three kinds of studies were conducted: test of calibration accuracy, analysis of theoretical accuracy of the coordinates determination as well as accuracy measurements in field conditions. Test of calibration accuracy was made with several different geometric constellation of reference points (tag positions). We determined changes of orientation parameters of receivers and disturbance of positioning points coordinates against chosen reference points constellations. Analysis of theoretical accuracy was made for several receivers spatial positions and their orientations. It allowed to indicate favourable and unfavourable measurement area considering accuracy and reliability. Real positioning accuracy of the Ubisense system was determined by comparison with coordinates measured using precise tacheometer TCRP1201+. Results of conducted experiments and accuracy analysis of test measurement were presented in figures and diagrams.

One of the basic criterion for safety evaluation of structures erected on embankment or sliding slopes is relative horizontal displacement at different elevations. Relative horizontal displacements beneath ground surfaces are performed with inclinometer measurements. This report presents results on horizontal relative ground displacements with the probe SISGEO S242SV30. Investigations were performed with two inclinometer columns 14m height embedded in Warsaw Bank Slope. Mean square error of single observation was determined and mean relative errors of relative displacements in relation to column height. On the basis measurement results several relevant recommendations and practical hints were formulated allowing to avoid survey blunders and discrepancies in measuring procedures often encountered. Detailed inclinometer horizontal displacement measurements results at Warsaw hillside St Ana’s Church grounds were listed and presented.

W badaniach przemieszczeń i odkształceń obiektów zabytkowych mamy do czynienia z wieloma ograniczeniami wynikającymi z utrudnionego dostępu do obiektu lub poszczególnych detali architektonicznych, a także z niemożności stosowania trwałej sygnalizacji punktów pomiarowych. W zależności od usytuowania szczeliny i jej wpływu na stateczność budowli zachodzi potrzeba obserwacji zmian w jednym, dwu lub trzech wymiarach. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań nad zastosowaniem tachimetrów elektronicznych do inwentaryzacji spękań i wyznaczania zmian ich szerokości w miejscach niedostępnych do obserwacji technikami bezpośrednimi. Przedstawiono przykładowe rozwiązania, oparte na powiązaniu fotografii cyfrowej z pomiarami tachimetrycznymi oraz na obserwacji celowników z folii refleksyjnej naklejonych w rejonie badanej szczeliny. Wykazano przydatność proponowanej technologii pomiarowej do realizacji powyższych zadań. Wyniki badań zilustrowano obserwacjami odkształceń Kościoła Akademickiego Św. Anny w Warszawie.

Research works of displacements and deformations of monumental objects deal with many limitations, with result from difficult access to an object or to particular architectural details, as well as from impossible use of fixed signals of points of measurements. Depending on locations of a crack and its impacts on stability of the construction, it is necessary to observe variations in one, two or three dimensions. The paper presents results of research works concerning the use of electronic tacheometers for the needs of inventory of cracks and determination of variations of their width in places inaccessible for direct measurements. Examples of solutions, based on connecting digital photography with tacheometric measurements and an observations of view finders made of reflexive films, applied within the areas of surveyed cracks, were also discussed. The usefulness of the proposed technology of measurements for implementation of above tasks is presented. Results of research works are illustrated by observations of deformations of the St. Ann’s Academic Church in Warszawa.

This paper presents results of investigations concerning utilisation of free tacheometric stations for: a) Determination of slip of objects located on escarpments, b) Investigations of deformations of bodies of monumental objects. The usefulness of the proposed technology of surveys for implementation of the above tasks has been proved. Results of investigations have been illustrated by results of surveys of displacements and deformations of the St.Ann’s Academic Church in Warszawa.
