Nieliniowy chemiczny „odcisk palca” NCF (nonlinear chemical fingerprint) to nowa metoda analityczna szeroko ostatnio stosowana do identyfikacji i oceny materiałów. Zastosowano ją do oceny jakości różnych odmian zielonej herbaty. Po raz pierwszy zaprezentowano koncepcję wykorzystania widma NCF rośliny złożonej do rozpoznawania jej odmiany, jak również szczegółowo omówiono właściwości NCF.

Seven various Chinese green teas were characterized by using the nonlinear chem. fingerprint method with electrochem. detection. The aq. suspensions of tea were treated with H2SO4, MnSO4 and Me2CO. The 1st grade Maojian tea (green bamboo mountain tea) showed the highest quality.

The rhizome of Sparganium stoloniferum Buch.-Ham has been used as a traditional Chinese folk medicine for thousands of years. Phenolic compounds are the main bioactive ingredients of the plant. In order to determine the content of phenolic compounds from different major cultivations, a reliable method has been developed using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with a triple quadrupole electrospray tandem mass spectrometry. Seven compounds, including rutin, kaempferol, p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, formononetin, ferulic acid, vanillic acid, and p-coumaric acid, were simultaneously measured in 10 min. The established approach was fully validated in terms of linearity, sensitivity, precision, repeatability as well as recovery, and successfully applied to determine seven phenolic compounds of Rhizoma Sparganii. This study may be helpful in the quality control of Rhizoma Sparganii and can offer technical support for the pharmacological and clinical study of related drugs.

A major bottleneck in the evolutionary design of electronic circuits is the problem of scale and the time required to evaluate the individuals, traditional genetic algorithm cannot solve these problems well. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm was developed under the inspiration of behavior laws of bird flocks, fish schools and human communities. In this paper, we use the PSO algorothm to solve the electronic circuit optimization design. The new algorithm keeps not only the fast convergence speed, but effectively improves the capability of global searching as well. The experiment results show that the PSO algorithm is efficient than traditional genetic algorithm.

W artykule opisano zastosowanie algorytmu optymalizacji rojem cząstek w rozwiązywaniu zagadnienia optymalnego projektowania układów elektronicznych. Proponowane rozwiązanie pozwala na uzyskanie dużej szybkości konwergencji oraz efektywne polepszenie możliwości wyszukiwania globalnego. Wyniki eksperymentalne pokazują, że algorytm PSO jest efektywniejszy niż typowy algorytm genetyczny.

Content available remote Optical switch based on cascaded SOI nonlinear directional coupler

In this paper, we calculate three effective refractive indexes for cascaded silicon-on-insulator (SOI) nonlinear directional coupler. For each effective refractive index, the coupling length LC, core-to-distance-ratio K and switching threshold power Pi, m are calculated, respectively. However, there are some fabrication errors, which are ?W, ?H, ?K in the height of Si layer and width of Si layer and error of core-to-distance-ratio. We have analyzed the influence of power transmission efficiency Ti, j and relative transmission efficiency error ?i, j caused by the change of ?W, ?H, ?K. Furthermore, we find the tolerance range of ?W, ?H, ?K for Ti, j and ?i, j in couplers a, b, c. The other four input pulses with different powers are switched to four different ports. Although output pulses show some little compression and loss, the value of ? is very small and output pulse waveforms are not affected seriously. The basic switching function has been realized, so this design is proved to be effective.
