In this paper we show the method of calculation of nonlinear normal modes and its application to mechanical coupled systems. We present bifurcation diagram of nonlinear normal modes in three degree of freedom system. We show the appearance of internal resonances and their important role in dynamics of nonlinear coupled oscillators.

This article presents a method for suppressing the noise level of weaving machines by enclosing them in individual sound-insulating casings. This method, which is already used in different industries, can also be applied for machines and devices in the textile industry. The possibility of suppressing the noise transmitted by the ventilation installation, which feeds the casings with air and carries it away, is analysed. We discuss a design and construction of a new noise suppressor, in the shape of a silencer, for a free-standing exhaust device. We also present the application of this silencer, which has been granted a Polish Patent for noise suppression in ventilation and air conditioning installations.

Artykuł przedstawia metodę tłumienia hałasu wzniecanego przez maszyny włókiennicze, polegającą na zamknięciu maszyny w indywidualnych osłonach dźwiękoszczelnych. Metoda ta, stosowana z powodzeniem w innych przemysłach, może być również stosowana dla maszyn i urządzeń przemysłu włókienniczego. Zachodzi tu jednak potrzeba tłumienia hałasu przenoszonego przez instalację wentylacyjną, zasilającą powietrzem osłonę i odprowadzającą powietrze na zewnątrz, Ten aspekt zagadnienia został przeanalizowany w artykule. Przedstawiono projekt i konstrukcję nowego tłumika hałasu, mogącego współpracować z wolnostojącymi urządzeniami wyciągowymi, związanymi z poszczególnymi maszynami. Konstrukcja ta została opatentowana w Urzędzie Patentowym RP, a w artykule przedstawiono wyniki jej zastosowania dla tłumienia hałasu krosien okrągłych.

THe article concerns a problem of too high acoustic sound level due to operating of textile machines and ventilator systems holding microclimate and dust removing in production areas. Tha author presented a method he had used to select a noise decreasing suppresor for 27.3 dB. The structural solution was patent on the basis of presented analysis. The silencers designed in this way can be used for noise suppresion both ventilators and ventilating instalations.

Artykuł dotyczy problemu zbyt wysokiego poziomu dzwięku akustycznego związanego z pracą maszyn oraz wentylatorów instalacji wentylacyjnej utrzymującej mikroklimat oraz odpylającej pomieszczenia produkcyjne. Autor przedstawił sposób w jaki dobrał tłumik zapewniający zmniejszenie hałasu o 27.3 dB. Przeprowadzona analiza była podstawą do opatentowania rozwiązania konstrukcyjnego. Tłumiki o tej konstrukcji mozna stosować zarówno do tłumienia wentylatorów jak i całych instalacji wentylacyjnych.
