The paper deals with the optimization of production processes and the setting of criteria for reducing production costs. Any company is not just a leap in production, but a lean has to be gradually transferred to all its activities. This created the concept of a lean company first. The skill of an enterprise is to perform only the activities that are needed, to do them right for the first time, to make them faster than others and to spend less resources at the same time. The company's business is that the company does exactly what the customer wants, with a minimum number of activities that do not add value to the product or service. The Lean Production System focuses mainly on eliminating waste in every activity of the manufacturing enterprise.

PL
Opracowano nową metodę wykorzystania tkanin zawartych w zużytych oponach przez ich wspólny przerób z odpadowym poli(winylobutyralem) (PVB) do wytwarzania materiałów kompozytowych. Materiały te badano metodą różnicowej kalorymetrii skaningowej DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) w celu określenia charakterystyk cieplnych, a zwłaszcza temperatury zeszklenia i temperatury mięknienia.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is the study of the effect of equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) on the mechanical properties of the Mg-Al2O3 nanocomposites. Magnesium and its alloys have excellent physical and mechanical properties for a number of applications. In particular its high strength: weight ratio makes it an ideal metal for automotive and aerospace applications, where weight reduction is of significant concern. Design/methodology/approach: Severe plastic deformation is a useful methodology to refine the grain size to the submicron or even nanometer size Findings: In the present work the influence of number of passes of ECAP by grain size, evolution of microstructure, mechanical properties and fracture of magnesium composites with different volume fraction of Al2O3 particles has been investigated by means of optical microscopy, tensile tests and scanning electron microscopy. Research limitations/implications: It has been found, that the grain size decreases with increasing number of passes. The mechanical properties of magnesium alloys are significantly influenced by the testing temperature leading to a decrease in the strength, by reinforcement and/or grain reinforcement leading to an increase in the strength. Originality/value: From previous studies, it was found that the MMCs using different size particles and different ECAP passes can improved the mechanical properties. But the research of Mg MMCs reinforcement with different wt.% nanoscale Al2O3 particles is not adequate.

The paper is focused on the description of the project, which is oriented to the application of information logistics in a particular environment of company engaged in the rail freight. The aim and the main benefit of the project is to increase the information support for an entity that implements a service information for the target group of customers who need to keep track of where desired material is found. The research is based on a model application of automatic identification systems to precisely defined physical models created for this purpose. Model represents a particular scale railway junction in which there is a redeployment of wagons. The model will be validated behavioural assumptions RFID chips select and define the appropriate chips for specific environment and technical solutions to their location and anchoring. Subsequently, the knowledge and the information verified in the real environment of rail freight. The project involved three research institutions: Transport Research Institute, JSC., Technical University of Košice and University of Žilina.
