The paper reviews the behaviour of oligo- and polydimethylsiloxanes with different terminal groups (-NH(2) -H) in toluene/acetone and toluene/nitromethane mixtures of different compositions. The influence of solvent nature and temperature on the intrinsic viscosity, the Mark-Houwink equations, the preferential and total sorption, the dimensions of the chain in unperturbed and perturbed state, the polymer flexibility and the influetlce of the excluded volume effect through the interpenetration function and hydrodynamic penetration function are discussed.
