Podstawowymi zadaniami przedsiębiorstwa są: wzrost wartości przedsiębiorstwa, ako cel strategiczny (długoterminowy) oraz maksymalizacja zysku, jako cel bieżący (krótkoterminowy). By zrealizować powyższe cele należy podjąć takie przedsięwzięcia inwestycyjne, by zapewnić rozwój przedsiębiorstwa. Od trafności podjętych inwestycji zależy dalsza konkurencyjność przedsiębiorstwa jak i również jego udziały w rynku oraz sposobność generowania przyszłych dochodów. Podjęta w artykule problematyka dotyczy wstępnych ustaleń kosztów obiektu, analiz rynku, prognozowania kosztów i zysków oraz interpretacji wyników metod efektywności ekonomicznej stanowią. Podkreśla, iż dokładne i poprawne ustalenie oraz rozpatrywanie kosztów pozwala na analizę opłacalności przedsięwzięcia i w bezpośredni sposób wpływa na ostateczną decyzję inwestora.

Basic tasks of enterprises are: the increase in the goodwill, as the strategic objective (long-term) and the maximization of the profit, as the current purpose (short-term). In order to accomplish above goals one should take such investment undertakings in order! to guarantee the development of the enterprise. A more distant competitiveness of the enterprise depends on the accuracy of taken investments as well as also his market shares i and the opportunity of generating future incomes. Issues taken in the article are regarding preliminary arrangements of costs of the object, market analyses, projecting costs and profits and the interpretation of results of methods constitute the economic effectiveness. He is emphasizing that the accurate and correct finding and considering costs let the feasibility study and in the direct way influences the final decision of the investor.
