The relative sensitivity analysis method is important in the field of vehicle lightweighting. Combined with optimization algorithms, experiment of design (DOE), etc., it can efficiently explore the impact of unit mass of components on performance and search for components with lightweight space. However, this method does not take into account the size level of each component and the order of magnitude differences in sensitivity under different operating conditions. Therefore, this paper proposed a sensitivity hierarchical comparative analysis method, on the basis of which the thicknesses of 10 groups of components were screened out as design variables by considering the lightweighting effect, cab performance, and passive safety. Through the optimal Latin hypercube method, 70 groups of sample points were extracted to carry out the experimental design, the Kriging surrogate model was established and the NSGA-II genetic algorithm was used to obtain the Pareto optimal solution set, and ultimately a weight reduction of 13.13 kg was realized under the premise that the entire performance of the cab improved.

To predict the shear fracture, tests of advanced high-strength DP steels have been carried out, and fracture models of DP steels have been established using the MMC fracture model. The MMC fracture parameters were obtained through multiple sets of experiments and stress triaxiality solved by simulation. The result was verified by stretch-bending, Nakazima tests and simulations. It shows that the MMC criterion is suitable for predicting ductile fracture of DP980, 1180. The correlation between the parameters of the MMC criterion and DP steel material properties can reduce the amount of tests data required.

The influence of tongue weight on a Trailer-Mounted Recreational Vehicle (TMRV) is studied. A multi-body dynamic model of the TMRV was established, three typical vehicle stability tests were carried out. Tongue weight had different effects on the tractor and Recreational Vehicle (RV). According to different loads, the critical tongue weight range was given. In addition, the tongue weight of the existing models was optimized and suggestions for improvement were put forward. The analysis results show that the tongue weight should be within a reasonable range which can ensure the tractor understeer and keep the lateral stability of the RV.
