Eemian Interglacial lacustrine sediments at Leszczyno are situated within the area of theWarta Glaciaton and slightly to the east from the maximal extent of the Vistulian Glaciaton. These sediments are situated in a wide depresion left by dead ice; its origin was controlled by tectonic and glaciotectonic conditions. Lacustrine silts and calcareus gyttja (about 2.7 m thick overlie the Warta Glacial till, and are covered by sands, silts and of the Vistulian Glaciaton (about 7.6 m thick). Palynostratigraphically, the biogenic lake sediments include 7 local pollen assemblage zones (L PAZ).Their spectra represent succession of the plant assemblages nearly of the whole protocratic stage, mesocratic stage and older segment of the telocratic stage of the Eemian Interglacial. Pollen diagram of the sediments from Leszczyno represents the north Masovian variant of the Eemian Interglacial succession, characterized by values of Abies (3%). Those of Taxus reach 5%.

W interpretacji genetycznej osadów czwartorzędowych istotne znaczenie ma obtoczenie i zmatowienie powierzchni ziarn kwarcowych frakcji piaszczystej, skład minerałów ciężkich oraz zawartość kwarcu we frakcji piaszczystej. Wykonanie tych analiz dla osadów z otworu Galumin 1 (zlokalizowanego na Wzniesieniach Mławskich) pozwoliło na wyróżnienie serii o szczególnie wysokiej eolizacji. Analiza stratygraficzna profilu pozwala sądzić, że seria ta podściela glinę zakumulowaną przez lądolód najstarszego ze zlodowaceń środkowopolskich.

The textural features are very important for genetical interpretation of Quaternary deposits, for example: degree of rounding and frosting of quartz grains in sandfraction, composition of heavy minerals and quartz content. Results of analysis of deposits from borehole Galumin 1 (Mlawskie Upland) allowed to distinguish the series of a particularly high aeolisation. Stratigraphical analysis of borehole material allows to admit, that this series underlies the glacial till, which was accumulated by the oldest ice sheet of Riss glaciation.

Udokumentowano paleobotanicznie dwa pierwsze stanowiska osadów biogenicznych interglacjału eemskiego. Powyżej tych osadów brak obecności utworów glacjalnych lub ich reziduum. Fakty te dowodzą, że przesunięcie granicy maksymalnego zasięgu młodszego od tego interglacjału, lądolodu zlodowacenia wisty, aż do południowych stoków moren czołowych mławskich, jak to próbują ostatnio czynić niektórzy badacze, nie znajduje uzasadnienia.

Two first localities of the biogenic sediments of Eemian Interglacial have been confirmed and documented using paleobotanic method. Presence of the glacial deposits or their residuum have not been observed above these sediments. Above mentioned facts indicate that shift of the maximum extent of Vistula Glaciation (which is younger than mentioned interglacial) up to southern slopes of the Mława front moraines reported by some authors is not justifiable.
