The analysis of influence of cooling air expense on gas turbine unit efficiency is executed. The method and computer program for calculation of gas characteristics in the turbine stages are created. This method takes into account the issue of cooling air into turbine flow path. Three basic ways of cooling air decrease are studied. The calculation research of aerodynamic losses in the blade cascades, efficiency and power of gas turbine unit (GTU) is carried out for each of these ways.
