Participation of the parties in works related to the boundaries affects the determination of boundaries according to the owners' consistent indications, or allows for an appropriate reaction when determining the boundary points of the previously fixed boundaries, i.e. referring the case to court in the event of a dispute regarding the location of boundary marks. It is important that the owners of neighboring parcels know their boundaries before any investment activities. The lack of this knowledge combined with the lack of legal security regarding boundaries in the event of conflicts between owners of neighboring parcels may result in, in addition to sending the case to court, serious consequences, e.g. demolition of a fence built in the wrong place, demolition of a house built too close to the boundary. The legal solutions discussed here concern the Polish cadastre, but the issue itself can be said to go beyond the local scale as it potentially concerns the problem of properly determining the scope of ownership rights (boundaries) to parcels in other countries. The article discusses and analyzes the documentation prepared by licensed surveyors in the context of the validity of applicable boundary procedures in Poland regarding the participation of the parties in these activities. Analyzes have proven that focusing these procedures on correctly notifying the parties about given boundary activities is not the right approach. Such solutions only bring results in terms of correctly notifying the parties about the activities and do not lead to their actual participation in them.

Artykuł zawiera wyniki badań dotyczące analizy materiałów zasobu w odniesieniu do granic działek ewidencyjnych i form dokumentowania jej wyników. Badania dotyczyły sposobów dokumentowania wyników analizy materiałów zasobu w operatach technicznych przyjętych do Państwowego Zasobu Geodezyjnego i Kartograficznego. Przedstawiono propozycję formy dokumentowania wyników analizy materiałów zasobu w sprawozdaniu technicznym. Wyjaśniono, co należy rozumieć pod pojęciem aktualności, dokładności i kompletności w odniesieniu do oceny przydatności materiału zasobu do osiągnięcia celu zgłoszonej pracy geodezyjnej.

The article contains results of research regarding the analysis of resource materials in relation to the borders of land parcels and forms of documenting its results. The research concerned methods of documenting the results of the analysis of resource materials in technical reports adopted for the State Geodetic and Cartographic Resource. A proposal was presented for the form of documenting the results of the analysis of resource materials in a technical report. It was clarified what is meant by timeliness, accuracy and completeness in relation to the assessment of the suitability of the resource material to achieve the purpose of the reported surveying work.

The concept of Smart Villages is essential for the development of rural areas, in terms of both creating new job opportunities and the quality of life in the countryside. It is based on modern tools and technologies improving the quality of life with better resources and a lower environmental impact. Many different solutions can be implemented within the Smart Villages concept, depending on the needs and potential of a given area. The article aims at the determination of the possibility of using data obtained from public registers for the needs of Smart Villages solutions. The research was carried out in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Poland. Selected solutions for rural development in the Smart Villages approach were indicated. The structure of farms, registration plots, and land use were determined. Areas requiring remedial processes such as agricultural land consolidation were marked. Data necessary to implement measures in rural areas were identified, and the possibilities of obtaining them from public registers were indicated. The data is necessary to diagnose the current state and determine further actions, including analyses aimed at taking measures for the sustainable development of rural areas. It was assumed that their acquisition would reduce the costs and time needed to implement the selected solutions within Smart Villages.

The aim of this study was to determine the potential benefits of using UAV-based data to verify the accuracy of the geometry of the outlines of buildings registered in a cadastral database, and to investigate the potential use of data from UAV platforms in measuring the buildings. The authors examined whether the acquisition of data from UAVs can replace field measurements or only support them. The advantages and disadvantages of such data acquisition methods, compared with more well-established measurement methods, were identified.
