Analiza zabezpieczenia ratowniczego akwenów na terenie Olsztyna

W administracyjnych granicach Olsztyna znajduje się 16 jezior oraz kilkanaście sztucznych obiektów pływackich. Stanowią one atrakcyjne warunki dla rekreacji wodnej i do uprawiania sportów wodnych. Czy jednak są to warunki w pełni bezpieczne? Celem opracowania jest poznanie uwarunkowań bezpieczeństwa olsztyńskich akwenów pod kątem możliwości uprawiania rekreacji wodnej. W ramach rozwiązania poruszanego problemu dokonano analizy materiałów źródłowych, przeprowadzono badania terenowe a także posłużono się sondażem. Efektem badań jest opis walorów rekreacyjnych omawianych akwenów, identyfikacja potencjalnych zagrożeń (wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych) oraz ocena zabezpieczenia logistycznego i ratowniczego.

Within the administrative boundaries of Olsztyn, there are 16 lakes and several artificial swimming facilities. They provide attractive conditions for water recreation and water sports. But are these conditions completely safe? The aim of the study is to get familiar with the safety conditions of water reservoirs in Olsztyn in terms of opportunities for water recreation. In order to solve the addressed problem, the analysis of source materials has been performed, the field research has been conducted and the survey has been applied. The outcome of the research includes the description of the recreational value of these water reservoirs, the identification of potential threats (internal and external) and the evaluation of logistic and emergency protection.

Effects of Low- and High-Frequency Side Bands of Notched Noise on Masking and Auditory Filter Shape at Very High Frequencies

This paper is concerned with the determination of the auditory filter shape using the notched noise method with noise bands symmetrically located above and below a probe frequency of 10 kHz. Unlike in the classical experiments conducted with the use of Patterson method the levels as well as power spectrum densities of the lower and upper component bands of the notched noise masker were not the same and were set such as to produce the same amount of masking at the 10-kHz frequency. The experiment consisted of three conditions in which the following values were determined: (I) the detection threshold for a 10-kHz probe tone in the presence of a noise masker presented below the tone’s frequency; (II) the level of a noise masker presented above the 10-kHz probe tone frequency, at which the masker just masked the probe tone, (III) the detection threshold for a probe tone in the presence of a notched-noise masker. The data show a considerable amount of variability across the subjects, however, the resulting frequency characteristics of the auditory filters are consistent with those presented in the literature so that the Equivalent Rectangular Bandwidth is less than 11% of their centre frequency.

Morfometria raka pręgowatego (Orconectes limosus Raf.) z ujścia rzeki Brdy

Badania morfometryczne raka pręgowatego (Orco-nectes limosus Raf.) oparto na podstawie 182 osobników, w tym było 151 samców i 31 samic. Na każdym osobniku wykonano 9 pomiarów, na podstawie których obliczono 10 proporcji budowy ciała. Samce w porównaniu z samicami osiągały wyraźnie węższy odwłok i dłuższe szczypce. U osobników obu płci stwierdzono bardzo wysokie korelacje pomiędzy długością całkowitą a analizowanymi cechami mierzalnymi. Raki pręgo watę z ujścia rzeki Brdy nie odbiegały zasadniczo budową ciała od raków bytujących w jeziorach.

Morphometry studies on 182 individuals of crayfish (Orconectes lirnosus Raf.) were made - 151 males and 31 females. On each individual 9 measurements were made and 10 proportions of body bulding were estimated. Males had more narrow abdomen and longer claws then females distinctly. Very high correlations between total length and measurable traits were confirmed in males and females. Crayfish from Brda river mouth had very similar body bulding as crayfish living in lakes.
