A title formulated by the author points to separate treatment of services concerning medical care and social welfare, which are even within a competence of two different departments: Ministry of Health and Ministry of Economy, Labor and Social Policy. The author would like to define tasks of an urban architect in the field of creating space infrastructure of the medical service objects which provide easy accessible complex medical and nursery care from prenatal to palliative; the services which before reorganization were coordinated by Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. For the sake of comprehensiveness of the subject, considerations concerning big hospital complexes and their restructuring are omitted. Whereas there are discussed new principles of system planning and programming of decentralized satellite institutions, supporting hospital service and rendering unconventional service in the sphere of progressive medical and social care - especially for aged, disabled and chronically ill people - as an outpatient's clinic, daily care or community health care.
