Moderní armáda zajišťuje ochranu životního prostředí nejen v místech základen, ve vojenských výcvikových prostorech, ale také v celé oblasti provozních činností ozbrojených sil. Musí chránit životní prostředí také při provádění operace, pokud to neohrozí její úspěch. Začlenění environmentálních hledisek do plánování a rozhodovacího procesu je odpovědností velitele. Způsoby řešení environmentální bezpečnosti v českých vojenských předpisech, dokumentech Aliance a Evropské obranné agentury, s aspektem na metodiku přípravy doktrín v agenturách NATO se zabývá studie.

Modern army ensures the protection of the environment not only in bases, in military training areas, but also in the entire area of operation activities of armed forces. Army must protect the environment both after operations and during implementation of the operation, if it does not jeopardize its success. The inclusion of environmental considerations into planning and decision-making process is the responsibility of the commander. The ways of dealing with the environmental safety in the Czech military regulations, documents in the Alliance and the European Defence Agency, with an emphasis on methodology of preparation doctrines in NATO agencies are covered by the study.
