Here it is proved that the space L1∩L∞ equipped with the standard interpolation norm ∥⋅∥L1∩L∞=max{∥⋅∥L1,∥⋅∥L∞} has the uniform λ-property if and only if μ(T)≤1. Replacing the standard norm with an equivalent one ∥⋅∥′L1∩L∞= ∥⋅∥L1+∥⋅∥L∞, a different result is obtained.: (L1∩L∞,∥⋅∥′L1∩L∞) has the uniform λ-property if and only if \(\mu (T)

We discuss some sufficient and necessary conditions for strict K-monotonicity of some important concrete symmetric spaces. The criterion for strict monotonicity of the Lorentz space Γp,w with 0 < p < ∞ is given.

It is found a modified formula for Opial's modulus rX of order continuous Köthe sequence space X without Schur's property. By using this result, the Opial's modulus of Lebesgue sequence spaces as well as Cesaro sequence spaces can be computed easily. Moreover it is proved in the Köthe se-quence space X with the Fatou property the condition rX(1)>0 implies the order continuity of X.
