This study was conducted because a real method for measuring safety climate had never been developed and assessed in Serbian industry. The aim of this paper was to start the process of developing a safety climate questionnaire that could be used in Serbia. As a starting point a 21-item questionnaire was adopted after an extensive literature review. The questionnaire was distributed at several Serbian factories; 1098 workers responded. After a statistical analysis of the data obtained with the questionnaire and a critical comparison with the available reference results, a final questionnaire with 21 questions, divided into 7 groups, was developed. The 7 groups of questions (factors) were safety awareness and competence, safety communication, organizational environment, management support, risk judgment and management reaction, safety precautions and accident prevention, and safety training.

Copper flotation waste, generated as a byproduct of pyrometallurgical copper production, contains a significant amount of Cu together with trace amounts of other toxic elements such as Fe, Sn, Sb, As, and Pb. It is usually disposed in uncovered tailing ponds in the vicinity of a copper smelter plant. Heavy metals released into the water and soil can cause a number of environmental problems. The amount of copper in copper flotation waste is high enough to be extracted economically using appropriate methods. In this study, the leaching characteristics of copper flotation waste from the Bor Copper Mine, Serbia, were investigated to assess the feasibility of copper extraction.

Content available remote A contribution to the thermodynamic study of the (Cu, Co)-Ni-Zn systems

Estimation of the thermodynamic properties of Cu-Ni-Zn and Co-Ni-Zn systems has been done by means of the general solution model. The calculations have been performed in wide temperature range - from 1000 to 2000K. Based on known thermodynamic data for constitutive binary systems, ternary interaction parameters for the liquid phases in both systems were determined.

Dokonano oszacowania własności termodynamicznych układów Cu-Ni-Zn i Co-Ni-Zn z zastosowaniem modelu "general solution model". Obliczenia przeprowadzono w szerokim zakresie temperatur, pomiędzy 1000, a 2000 K. W oparciu o znane dane termodynamiczne dla składowych układów podwójnych określono współczynniki oddziaływania dla fazy ciekłej obydwu układów potrójnych.

The results of thermodynamic predicting applied on the ternary Au-In-Sb system, one of potencial lead-free solders, are presented in this paper. The general solution model has been used to predict the thermodynamic properties in wide temperature range from 873-1673K, based on which ternary interaction coefficient was determined using Mathematical Modeling System (MLAB).

W pracy przedstawiono modelowanie właściwości termodynamicznych układu Au-In-Sb, który może być rozpatrywany jako kandydat dla lutowi bezołowiowych. Zastosowano ogólny model stosowany dla roztworów celem przewidywania właściwości termodynamicznych w szerokim zakresie temperatur 873 K – 1673 K. W modelu tym, trójskładnikowy parametr oddziaływania został wyznaczony za pomocą Mathematical Modeling System (MLAB).
