Metrological analysis of averaging impact sensor flow meters based on the linear-logarithmic flow model

In the article, metrological properties ofimpact sensor (Pitot tubes) used for flow measurement in duet of circular cross section are presented. Based on theoretical (line logarithmic) model velocity profile distribution coordinates of the velocity sensing ports in the probe are evaluated. Calculation of results formed the basis for evaluation of the calibration coeffiecient. Flow measurement evaluated on the basis of an averaging Pitot tube allows precise measurement of the flow with an accuracy of ±2% for the Re (Reynolds number) contained within the range [...].

W pracy przedstawiono metrologiczne własności sondy uśredniającej zastosowanej do pomiaru strumienia objętości w przewodzie o kołowym przekroju przepływu. W oparciu o teoretyczny (liniowo-logarytmiczny) model profilu prędkości w przewodzie określono współrzędne rozmieszczenia otworów piezometrycznych w sondzie. Na podstawie badań oraz po ich opracowaniu podano wartości współczynnika przepływu. Przepływomierz zbudowany na bazie sondy uśredniającej umożliwia pomiar strumienia objętości z dokładnością ±2% dla liczby Reynoldsa w przedziale [...].

The paper presents the comparison of the result of the simulation research regarding the distribution of the velocity and pressure in the duct and average pitot tube with the results of the results of the experiments. The calibration coefficient for the flow-meter has been compared in research and computer simulation.
