The article presents measurement interpretation and causes of partial discharges (PD) generated in low voltage applications which are significantly smaller in assets and usually internal. It describes also possible PD types which can occur in such systems. Causes and prevention methods are described using standards for constructing and testing low voltage applications.

The article presents current state of comparison of traditional perma-nently installed online partial discharge monitoring systems which are financial-ly and technically viable to alternative asset management solutions to be more cost-effective on smaller installations, e.g. secondary substations or ring units. Article focuses on industrial requirements like communication, noise reduction and elimination of sough. Recent developments in more industrialized comput-ers offers required processing power and technological advancement for harsh conditions on smaller objects.

The article presents characteristics and comparison of pressboard and aramid paper properties in manner of using them as an insulation barriers for high voltage air insulation systems. Author determined research that aramid paper has potential to be better dielectric barrier than pressboard in the sense of durability of the contexture and impact for electric strength.

The article presents MatLab code representation of separately excited DC motor used in example scheme without using Simulink – MatLab add-on, which is easy to construct and implement but not effective in manner of performance. Article covers an example mechanic scheme with implemented DC motor and lead out formulas and diagrams.

The article presents the phenomenon of electromagnetic emanations of wired computer accessories which can be compromised by decoding the transitory electric signals. This method of infiltrating sensitive computer data was widely used to susceptible devices of the previous age, like cathode-ray tube display (CRT), but also can be used on current LCD panels and especially on a keyboard devices connected to a PC.
