W ostatnich latach w Polsce stale wzrasta zapotrzebowanie na energię elektryczną. Z roku na rok, mimo kampanii promującej ekologiczny tryb życia, prądu zużywamy coraz więcej. Wprawdzie modernizacje oraz nowe inwestycje pozwalają na zwiększenie produkcji, jednak popyt rośnie szybciej niż podaż. Z tego tylko powodu w najbliższych latach grozi nam deficyt energii elektrycznej, a tym samym drastyczny wzrost jej ceny. A to nie jedyny problem.

Application of numerical simulations to the evaluation of the manufacturing cycle for connecting parts is the objective of the paper. The cycle is composed of rod drawing and multi step forging. Two technological variants of manufacturing part were considered. Such aspects as tool wear and possibility of changing die shape to improve its wear resistance were investigated. The better variant was selected.

Celem pracy było zastosowanie numerycznych symulacji do oceny cyklu wytwarzania elementów złącznych. Ten cykl składał się z ciągnienia prętów oraz z pięciu etapów kucia na zimno. Rozważono dwa warianty technologii. Oceniano takie aspekty procesu jak zużycie narzędzi oraz możliwość zmian kształtu narzędzi dla poprawy ich odporności na zużycie. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań wybrano lepszy wariant technologiczny.

After twenty five years since the dedicated decades have been announced by the United Nations Organisation to focus the attention of the communities ofin the world on the most important issues critical for solving urgent problems, the time has come to make a summary and analysis of the up to date accomplishments. Such recognition is the first step to search for good recipes for improvements of the individual elements which build the organisation of actions and extension of the Decade outreach. An analysis of the good practices from Germany and Poland allows to state that some of them could be implemented interchangeably while some organizational solutions represent high potential for adaptation.
