Pneumatic transport is one of the most progressive means of mechanization and automation of loose goods transportation. It is used in aluminium, chemical, food, textile, construction and other industries. However, wide use of pneumatic transport is limited by the incomplete information on this subject. In the article design methods of main parameters of pneumatic transport plants are described. It is shown how to determine length of material transportation, speed of air in pipeline, concentration of mixture, consumption of air, diameter of pipeline, resistance of pipeline.
