Content available Nitrogen compounds in effluents from a septic tank

The paper presents the results of long-term studies on the concentrations of total nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen in a septic tank effluent. A statistical analysis concerning the sampling day and the season was performed. The mean concentration of total nitrogen in the effluent was 47±9 g N/m3 and the mean concentration of ammonium nitrogen was 33±11 g N/m3. Results on the cumulative distributions of total nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen in the outflow from the septic tank have also been presented.

Niniejsze wytyczne mają na celu określenie standardu stosowania odwodnień liniowych z prefabrykowaną obudową żelbetową. Pod pojęciem odwodnienia powierzchni rozumie się odprowadzenie wód opadowych i roztopowych, zebranych uprzednio powierzchni utwardzonej za pośrednictwem różnego rodzaju urządzeń odwadniających (np. wpusty lub odwodnienia liniowe). W przypadku odwodnień punktowych odbiór wód deszczowych odbywa się w najniższym miejscu zlewni, natomiast w odwodnienia liniowe odbierają wodę deszczową na całej swojej długości.

Barbotage reactors extensively used in various branches of industry and bioengineering have been investigated in numerous studies. Recently the moving bed has become a popular solution in sewage and water treatment processes. Purification and transportation of small amounts of sewage from households and industrial plants is a hydraulic and technological problem for the sewage system and sewage treatment plants. A hybrid barbotage reactor (HBR) may be applied to transport small wastewater volumes while simultaneously aerating sewage. This study was conducted on a prototype hybrid barbotage reactor equipped with a pipe element for sewage circulation and aeration, which was packed with a moving bed to 20% of its volume. Based on the results of measurements, oxidation curves have been plotted and the efficiencies of sewage treatment have been calculated for the reactor aerated in the continuous and intermittent modes. The amount of energy used to treat and transport sewage has been established.

The paper presents the results of the conducted tests of torsional stiffness of the VOSCO S106 passenger car, as well as the validation process of these tests by means of numerical analyzes using the FEM finite element method. The most important element of the vehicle structure is the part of the spatial frame or the safety cage. Engine, brake system, fuel system and steering system, suspension as well as body and parts, their mounting nodes, hinges, locks, etc. are attached to the frame. The frame must therefore have adequate strength to protect the driver in the event of a tipover or impact. The frame is usually made of steel pipes with the prescribed dimensions and strength according to regulations. The torsional stiffness of the vehicle chassis has a significant influence on its driveability and therefore is an important parameter to measure. In this article, the torsional stiffness of the vehicle frame is calculated experimentally, which was then verified by finite element analysis (FEM) using the Altair HyperWorks program.
