In this paper, a low power highly sensitive Triple Metal Surrounding Gate (TM-SG) Nanowire MOSFET photosensor is proposed which uses triple metal gates for controlling short channel effects and III–V compound as the channel material for effective photonic absorption. Most of the conventional FET based photosensors that are available use threshold voltage as the parameter for sensitivity comparison but in this proposed sensor on being exposed to light there is a substantial increase in conductance of the GaAs channel underneath and, thereby change in the subthreshold current under exposure is used as a sensitivity parameter (i.e., Iillumination/IDark). In order to further enhance the device performance it is coated with a shell of AlxGa1-x As which effectively passivates the GaAs surface and provides a better carrier confinement at the interface results in an increased photoabsorption. At last performance parameters of TM-SG Bare GaAs Nanowire MOSFET are compared with TM-SG core-shell GaAs/AlGaAs Nanowire MOSFET and the results show that Core-Shell structures can be a better choice for photodetection in visible region.

EN
In the present paper we introduce some strongly almost summable sequence spaces using ideal convergence and Musielak-Orlicz function M = (Mk) in n-normed spaces. We examine some topological properties of the resulting sequence spaces.

This experimental study reveals the effects of CaF2, FeMn and NiO additions to the base fluxes on tensile strength and percentage elongation of the weld metal. The aim of this study is to develop suitable flux for mild steel for high tensile strength, impact strength and ductility. Bead on plate welds were made using submerged arc welding process. Mathematical model for percentage elongation and UTS of mild steel welds were made. The elements transfer to the welds have been correlated with the above mechanical performance characteristics. The effect of oxygen content on weld elongation and UTS also has been deduced. This study shows that CaF2 and NiO are the significant factors for tensile strength while FeMn is not significant for tensile strength. However, for elongation besides CaF2, the interaction of CaF2 and FeMn was also found significant. The effects of basicity index of the flux and carbon equivalent of the welds on tensile strength and percentage elongation of the welds have also been evaluated.

In the present paper we introduced some seminormed difference sequence spaces combining lacunary sequences and Musielak-Orlicz function M = (Mk) over n-normed spaces and examine some topological properties and inclusion relations between resulting sequence spaces.
EN
In the present paper we introduce some new generalized classes of difference sequence spaces of fuzzy numbers defined by a sequence of Orlicz functions. We also make an effort to study some topological properties and prove some inclusion relations between these spaces.

Gossypol is polyphenolic aldehyde, a toxic substance naturally present in cotton plant to protect it from insects, pests and diseases. Maximum gossypol is concentrated in the seed. After extraction of oil from the cottonseed, the defatted cottonseed meal which contains both the gossypol and proteinous matter is left behind. A number of attempts have been made using different solvents to extract gossypol from the seeds. However, all these efforts have remained in the realm of academic activity only as none of them could be commercialized. If a pilot plant or commercial scale plant is to be developed then the data on the kinetics and thermodynamics of the extraction process is required. In this study ethanol has been used as the solvent at temperature below 323K for removal of gossypol from the defatted seed. This study finds the effects of parameters viz. temperature, solvent to solid ratio (SR) and extraction time on the gossypol extraction efficiency. The data obtained are used to establish the kinetics and thermodynamics of the extraction process.

Content available remote Study of an oxygenation process in capillary in the presence of magnetic field
EN
A mathematical model for the transport of oxygen in the systemic capillaries and the surrounding tissue in the presence of a magnetic field is presented in this paper. We have modeled the capillary by a circular cylinder surrounded by a tissue of uniform thickness. The model takes into account the transport mechanisms of molecular diffusion, convection and diffusion due to the presence of hemoglobin as a carrier of the gases (oxygen). The resulting system of differential equations is solved analytically by the method of separation of variable and Picard's method. The result for partial pressure of oxygen in the capillary and tissue region is obtained. The effect of the Hartmann number (H) and others parameters is obtained and discussed through graphs.

Content available remote A bi-phasic model for artificial replacement
EN
Joint replacement is widely used for treatment when joints fail to support loads or normal functions due to some accidental force or diseases. The analytical models for artificial human knee joints introducing the concept of porous implants with bone in growth into the pores, may provide better implantation than using cement or rigid, plastic/metallic materials. The purpose of the present study is to determine theoretically the articular contact mechanics of an artificial knee joint containing biphasic cartilage layers under restricted motion during normal walking. The present work incorporates the effect of a viscoelastic fluid as a lubricant on the parameter related to the lubrication mechanism. It has been observed that the load carrying capacity increases with increasing values of viscoelastic parameters. The effect of an increase in the viscoelastic parameter of the lubricant in similar to that of an increase in concentration of hyaluronic acid molecules in the synovial fluid. This helps in sustaining the greater loads. Further, we also observe that as the slip velocity at the porous boundary increases, load carrying capacity decreases owing to the increased filtration of base fluid into the porous cartilage. Thus, the slip velocities existing at the porous boundary play on important role in the self-adjusting nature of the artificial joint.
