Modern automated production requires technologies to provide stability in machining procedures and the absolute repeatability of the quality parameters obtained on the parts produced. Without the development of a new level of ESM procedures, the generation and implementation of technological equipment, and its complex functioning, it is impossible to produce new generation GTE for modern civil and military aircraft, as well as ships and power plants. For this purpose, issues of the technology to be created for electrochemical rotary machining of GTE blading elements have been considered, including the following aspects: features of the technology of automated GTE compressor blades manufacture, kinematic schemes of work motions of tool electrodes, and constructions of tool electrodes for electrochemical rotary machining. New engineering solutions have been offered that considerably increase the efficiency of the rotary electrochemical machining of gas turbine engine blading elements.

The paper deal with the methods used to assign cutting technological conditions providing the set-up parameters of surface layer quality in the cutting operation and used in the calculation estimation of the indices of product performance characteristics based on certain parameters of surface layer quality and cutting conditions. There is the necessity for critical machine parts to provide the required performance characteristics determined both through the part precision parameters and through their surface layer quality (roughness, degree and depth of cold working, and the value and sign of residual stresses). In such cases, it is necessary to provide the complex parameters that characterize the surface layer along with the specified machining accuracy. For this propose, the methods and appropriate software have been developed that enables one to define the correlation between the machining conditions and the surface layer quality parameters, including cutting accuracy, properties of the cutter and work stock materials, technological system rigidity, the part`s dimensions.

The algorithm of the parameter calculation of macro-geometry, kinematics, macro- and micro-contacting, wear rate as well as those of frictional resource of cylindrical gearings with external evolvent toothing are presented. The most widely used in aircraft engine external toothing cylindrical gearings with evolvent tooth profile and transition curve with undercut are regarded as subject of inquiry.
