“RT-400” rocket aerial target system is described in the paper; research method of its simplified external ballistics characteristics is presented and the obtained results are discussed. This system was designed, tested, and produced by a research team of the Institute of Defence Technologies at Kaunas University of Technology and successfully implemented in practice. One of main aims of this paper was to develop external ballistics’ model of a rocket propelled aerial target which would enable obtaining various ballistic parameters of the investigated vehicle such as its acceleration, velocity, flight angle, flight range and trajectory using as input the internal ballistics data obtained at earlier experimental research of the “RV-12K” rocket motor in a static horizontal test stand for thrust measurements and determination of other internal ballistics’ characteristics such as combustion chamber temperature and pressure. During the experimental research process of the vehicle, under test site conditions, the main aim was to compare accuracy of the obtained external ballistics simulation data with the data obtained during experimental approaches using additional measurement techniques such as radar tracking and crash site and launch site GPS coordinates marking.

The experience of different countries demonstrates that community involvement in response phase of disaster management actions increase the resources of authorities and allow to eliminate consequences with lower costs as well as to earn public trust. The aim of this article is to assess the possibilities of involving communities in incident management system of disasters for effective disaster management from the point of view of management, public administration and law. The authors analyze incident management structure within a disaster and the Lithuanian and Ukrainian legal regulation whether regulations applicable in the aforementioned countries provide for community involvement in disaster management.

Doświadczenia różnych krajów pokazują, że zaangażowanie społeczności w fazę reagowania w przypadku działań związanych z zarządzaniem katastrofami zwiększa zasoby władz i pozwala eliminować konsekwencje związane z niższymi kosztami, a także zdobyć zaufanie publiczne. Celem tego artykułu jest ocena możliwości zaangażowania społeczności w system zarządzania incydentami w celu skutecznego zarządzania katastrofami z punktu widzenia zarządzania, administracji publicznej i prawa. Autorzy analizują strukturę zarządzania incydentami w czasie katastrofy oraz litewskie i ukraińskie regulacje prawne zapewniające zaangażowanie społeczności w zarządzanie katastrofami.

Riflemen’s trainers are efficiently applied for the training of the armed forces, police, and shooting sportsmen. However, the training quality directly depends on the perfection of trainers as well as on their functional facilities. One of them is the shooting possibility by using various weapons. The new modification of a practise range is created: it’s included three types of weapons imitators for 5.56 mm G-36 assault rifle, 7.62 mm FN MAG machine gun and, 84 mm CARL GUSTAF recoilless gun. The work presents the universal dynamical and mathematical models of the one way operation pneumatic drive for recoil imitation, results of its investigation and description of the new modification of laser range for riflemen.

This paper presents an analysis of aerodynamic characteristics of the rocket target for the final training of shooting at aerial targets by the „Stinger” system service staff. The governing equations of fluid dynamics are presented and the computational model of airflow around the rocket is developed. ANSYS CFX computational fluid dynamics software is used to compute airflow velocities, pressure, the drag force and the drag coefficient. A practical implementation of the research is presented. Taking into account the simulation results, the rocket-target was designed and manufactured.

Kinetics of Fe(III) reduction with Sn(II) in 0.5-2 M H2SO4 solutions involving sulphosalicylic acid (H3Ssal) has been studied. H3Ssal acts not only as an indicator for spectrophotometric determination of Fe(III) but also takes part in the redox reaction as an accelerator. The data are described by the kinetic equation obtained for the ratedetermining step of FeSsal + Sn2+_Fe2+ + Sn3+ + Ssal3- with rate constant k2 _ 1.4_10-4 M-1 s-1 at 60_C. Effect of fluoride consists in the decrease of FeSsal concentration, due to the formation of extra Fe(III)-fluoride complexes, resulting in the decrease of the reaction rate.

Voltammetry and EIS were applied to study the adsorption behaviour of laprol 2402 C (the copolymer of ethene and propene oxides) on a Cu electrode in strongly acidic Cu(II) sulphate solutions. Analysis of impedance data was carried out on the basis of adequate equivalent circuits, containing electric analogues of the electrochemical system. The results indicate that laprol displays a rather weak surface activity on copper in chloride-free solutions. Pronounced inhibition of Cu(II) reduction takes place, when micromolar amounts of chloride are added. A more compact surface layer involving Cl- ions is thought to be formed under these conditions.
