In this paper, we obtain a couple of weak convergence results for nonself nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings. Our first result is for the Banach spaces satisfying Opial condition and the second for those whose dual satisfies the Kadec-Klee property.

The paper is based on a long-term programme of research on mathematical modelling and design of instruments and instrument elements in the Measurement and Instrumentation Centre of City University, London. It considers the principal generic problems of design methodology of instrument systems and aspects of the research agenda that arises from them. On iterative convergence of resolvents of acceretive operators

Weak and strong convergence of resolvents of accretive operators have been studied in this paper under different iteration schemes. In particular for an accretive operator A, the inclusion 0 Ax has been solved. Applying this result, we have found the solution of equation x + Bx = f where B is a Lipschitzian accretive operator.
