Complex measurements of characteristic parameters realised on a long distance model belt conveyor are described. The main objective was to complete and combine the regular measurements of electric power on drives of belt conveyors operated in Czech opencast mines with measurements of other physical quantities and to gain by this way an image of their mutual relations and relations of quantities derived from them. The paper includes a short description and results of the measurements on an experimental model conveyor with a closed material transport way.

W artykule opisane zostały kompleksowe pomiary charakterystycznych parametrów które były realizowane na modelu przenośnika taśmowego. Głównym celem było wykonanie i połączenie pomiarów energii elektrycznej w napędach przenośników taśmowych pracujących w czeskich kopalniach odkrywkowych, z pomiarami innych wielkości fizycznych aby uzyskać w ten sposób obraz ich wzajemnych związków i otrzymanych wielkości. Artykuł zawiera krótki opis i wyniki pomiarów na eksperymentalnym modelu przenośnika w zamkniętym obiegu transportu materiału.

Belt conveyor behaviour at run-up, especially when fully loaded, is one of the most important factors which influence their failure rate in open pit mines. The paper describes a practical use of a power network complex analyser for measurement of electric drives of drive stations of long distance belt transport at belt conveyor run-up and operation. The measurement of an older belt convey-or without a frequency transducer and of an upgraded conveyor with frequency controlled drives is described. The measurement of electric quantities of the drives is completed with rotation measurement in order to obtain a torque value from the active power.
