Ship route planning is one of the key issues in enhancing traffic safety and efficiency. Many route planning methods have been developed, but most of them are based on the information from charts. This paper proposes a method to generate shipping routes based on historical ship tracks. The ship's historical route information was obtained by processing the AIS data. From which the ship turning point was extracted and clustered as nodes. The ant colony algorithm was used to generate the optimize route. The ship AIS data of the Three Gorges dam area was selected as a case study. The ships’ optimized route was generated, and further compared with the actual ship's navigation trajectory. The results indicate that there is space of improvement for some of the trajectories, especially near the turning areas.

Maritime accidents have received considerable attentions due to the enormous property damage, casualties and serious environmental pollution. This paper first makes statistical analysis of the different types of maritime accidents in the period of 2012 to 2014 in the Yangtze River. Second, the problems of emergency management of maritime accidents are also proposed from the analysis of the major accident “Eastern Star”.. Afterwards, four practice cases, including decision support for maritime accidents, emergency resource allocation, emergency simulation system and effectiveness of emergency management, are introduced to present the insights gained from these practices. Last, in order to address these problems, this paper proposes that an artificial societies, Computational experiments, and Parallel execution (ACP) approach should be introduced to establish an improved management system for maritime accidents in the future, and an ACP based maritime accident emergency management framework is proposed.

An investigation was made on the electromagnetic shielding behaviour and other functional properties for manufactured multifunctional elastic warp-knitted fabrics. Bamboo charcoal polyester/Crisscross-section polyester (BC-PET/CSP) blended yarns were used as the back of the warp-knitted fabric while conductive composite yarns were used as the front. The variation in the far infrared emissivity and anion density of elastic-warp knitted fabrics produced with different proportions of BC-PET content were studied in detail. Moreover the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (EMSE) of the fabrics with different elongation was measured in this study. The experimental results showed that increased elongation almost did not significantly affect the EM shielding behaviour of fabric K1 in the elongation range of 0 - 40%. Finally to increase the EMSE of the fabric, the lamination method was used in this study. EMSE measurement results showed that two layer K1 warpknitted fabrics with 90° interval displayed a better shielding effect against the EM wave compared to that with a 0° interval.

Przeprowadzono badania właściwości ekranujących przed polem elektromagnetycznym i innych właściwości funkcyjnych wyprodukowanych wielofunkcyjnych elastycznych dzianin kolumienkowych.

Content available remote Moisture Comfort and Antibacterial Properties of Elastic Warp-Knitted Fabrics
EN
Multifunction elastic warp-knitted fabrics were fabricated on a crochet machine with the use of metal composite yarns/viscose yarn and bamboo polyester/ crisscross-section polyester hybrid yarns as the front face and back face of the knitted fabric structure, respectively. We investigated the effect of the blend ratio of bamboo charcoal/ crisscross-section polyester multiply yarns on the fabric's moisture comfort properties, such as water vapour transmission (WVT), water evaporation rate (WER), and water absorbency. The results showed that blending ratio significantly influenced WVT and WER. Moreover, antibacterial activity of the elastic warp-knitted fabric was tested against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in accordance with AATCC 90-2011. Finally, the extension-stress value curves were used to analyse the elastic stretching property, and the fabric exhibited greater breaking elongation and lower stress value in the walewise than in the weft direction.

A lot of attention is being paid to ship’s intelligent anti‐collision by researchers. Several solutions have been introduced to find an optimum trajectory for ship, such as Game Theory, Genetic or Evolutionary Algorithms and so on. However, ship’s maneuverability should be taken into consideration before their real applications. Ship’s trajectory control in anti‐collision maneuvering is studied in this paper. At first, a simple linear ship maneuverability model is introduced to simulate its movement under different speed and rudder angle. After that, ship’s trajectory control is studied by considering the duration of rudder, operation distance to turning points, and maximum angular velocity. The details for algorithm design are also introduced. By giving some restrictions according to the requirements from COLREGs, the intervals for rudder angle in different circumstances can be determined based on the curves. The results can give very meaningful guidance for seafarers when making decisions.

Content available remote Determination of total phosphorus in water samples by flow-injection analysis
EN
A new colorimetric-FIA method for the determination of total phosphorus in water samples has been described. For the purpose of the above analysis the newly invented constant micro-flux mixing pumps, as well as the PLC (industrial programmable controller) manipulator and IOP (intelligent operation panel) were used to simplify the procedure. The proposed method allowed one to determine total phosphorus in the concentration range: 0.02-0.50 mg L-1, with a detection limit of 0.005 mg L-1. The analysis required only 4 min to be completed. The proposed method is suitable for the automated and continuous analysis, and was successively applied to the determination of total phosphorus in wastewater samples.

Opisano nową, jednościeżkową metodę kolorymetryczno-przepływową do oznaczania całkowitego fosforu w próbkach wody. Do tego celu skonstruowano pompy mieszające o stałym mikrostrumieniu oraz przemysłowy, programowany kontroler i inteligentny panel operacyjny do manipulacji i przeliczeń. Całkowity fosfor można oznaczać w zakresie 0,02-0,5 mg L(-1), granica wykrywalności wynosi 0,005 mg L(-1). Całkowity czas oznaczania wynosi 4 min. Proponowana metoda nadaje się do analizy automatycznej i ciągłej. Została zastosowana do oznaczania całkowitego fosforu w ściekach.
