Ventilation of facilities such as shelters is a very complex issue. First of all, such an object should be extremely tight so that intentional air pollution outside does not pose a threat to people inside. Secondly, the system must be characterized by high reliability, because for airtight objects the failure of the air conditioning system is also a threat to people inside. Thirdly, the system must provide microlimatic vacancies inside acceptable by people passing through the shelter - it is mainly about temperature and humidity.

W referacie przedstawiono problemy techniczne związane z uzyskaniem dużej szczelności obiektów schronowych, która jest niezbędna do zabezpieczenia ich wnętrz przed wnikaniem celowo skażonego zewnętrznego powietrza. Kolejnym bardzo ważnym czynnikiem wpływającym na bezawaryjne funkcjonowanie schronu jest niezawodna praca systemów wentylacyjnych zapewniająca wymagane parametry mikroklimatyczne powietrza dla chronionych osób oraz utrzymywanie w dopuszczalnych granicach temperatury wnętrza obiektu.

The paper presents technical approaches concerning a full tightness of a hardened facilities. This is a very important aspect because of a security measures required to prevent an internal space of a shelter against a polluted external air. The additional requirement concerning the hardened facilities is a continuous running of all ventilation systems. These systems provide a certain level of a positive pressure inside the shelter and maintain required temperature and humidity, providing safe conditions for people working or staying inside.

The paper shows archeological and historical cases that were concerning to build the Underground Museum which is located in the center of the Rynek Główny in Cracow. This site required to use a very certain knowledge and original building technologies in the field of construction and HVAC systems. The applied solutions were given to multi science consulting and the engineering verification.

W referacie przedstawiono problemy archeologiczno – historyczne związane z budową podziemnego muzeum w Rynku Głównym w Krakowie. Budowa unikatowego podziemnego muzeum z uwagi na brak pierwowzoru wymuszała stosowanie oryginalnych rozwiązań architektoniczno–budowlanych i instalacyjnych. Przyjęte rozwiązania musiały być wszechstronnie konsultowane i weryfikowane.
