The paper deals with microscopic modeling of the traffic flow using cellular automaton in the Tunnel Simulator based on PLC. Model with lane changing logic is implemented in the SCADA visualization screen of the tunnel with unidirectional two-lane traffic. Tunnel Simulator is able to simulate unexpected events in the road tunnel such as fire, so vehicle type is also included in the traffic model to specify the heat release rate of the fire for car, van, bus and truck fi re scenario. Number of persons in the vehicles and location of the persons in the tunnel are planned to be used as the input for the model for evacuation time estimation.

W artykule pokazano możliwości skorzystania z elektronicznej formy pobierania opłat za przejazdy tunelami drogowymi. System ten upowszechnia się za granicą i nie jest sprzeczny z regulacjami prawnymi w państwach Unii Europejskiej. W Republice Czeskiej wprowadza się opłaty za przejazd po wybranych drogach ciężarówkami z wagą brutto ponad 12 ton. Brak jest obecnie podstaw prawnych wprowadzenia opłat za przejazdy - wszystkimi innymi pojazdami - tunelami i po mostach. Stowarzyszenie Telemetrii Transportowej Republiki Czeskiej wygrało przetarg - ogłoszony przez Ministerstwo Transportu i Łączności - na projekt naukowo-badawczy "Elektroniczne pobieranie opłat za korzystanie z dróg".

The article describes possibilities of taking advantage of telemetric form of toll collection for passing road tunnels. The system is being commonly used abroad and is not contradictory with legal regulations in the member countries of the European Union. In Czech Republic tolls are being introduced for transfer along selected routs by trucks with total weight in excess of 12 tons. At present there are no legal basis for introduction of toll for transfer along tunnels and bridges by all other road vehicles. The Association of Telemetry and Transportation of the Czech Republic won the bid - announced by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication - for a scientific-research project "Electronic tolls collection for taking advantage of roads".
