Content available remote The impact of the rotor slit number on the behavior of high-speed induction motor

The impact of the rotor slit number on the behavior of high-speed induction motor is investigated. High-speed induction motor with the axially slitted rotor is examined and studied from the perspective of additional rotor losses, torque ripple and undesirable magnetic force. More than ten rotor slits are simulated with finite element method, where the simulated motor is under fully load. Finite element transient analysis is used to respect relative rotor movement to the stator. This article will demonstrate that the number of rotor slits should be chosen wisely.

W pracy zbadano wpływ liczby szczelin na właściwości wysokoobrotowych silników indukcyjnych. Badano powstawanie dodatkowych strat, zafalowania momentu napędowego. Wykorzystano metodę elementu skończonego. Wykazano że liczba szczelin w wirnku powinna być dobierana rozważnie.

The Czech automotive industry presents its product to the car market segment: a starter of a unique AXIAL concept developed with the aid of purpose support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with a power of 1.3 kW and 2 kW, - the switch in one axis with the pinion, planet reducer and motor rotor. The starter uses excitation by NdFeB-based permanent magnets.

Fault diagnosis is currently a target of wide research activities. There is large number of diagnostic methods based on various source of diagnostic signal, signal processing and data evaluation approach. Stator current is traditional diagnostic signal for fault detection of induction machines. Monitoring of this signal is mainly effective in case of diagnosis of broken rotor bars and rings. However, analysis of external magnetic field appears to be more powerful in case of rotor eccentricity detection. The measurement system based on LabVIEW platform is now presented and it includes both stator current and external magnetic field analysis.

Content available remote Design and measurement of the low voltage ec-motor

This paper deals with design of the low voltage electronically commutated motor. Presented motor was developed in cooperation with ATAS elektromotory Nachod company, traditional producer of the low power DC and AC machines. It is intended to offer this machine as a rival to common DC motors and therefore the low manufacturing expenses are required. The analytical design brought the roughcast of the machine and the electromagnetic FEM model was used to optimize the machine and to calculate the enhanced characteristics. The measurement of the motor sample was performed to verify the theoretical results and to check the motor parameters.

Content available remote Design and analysis of an automotive alternator

The article deals with design of the heavy-duty claw-pole automotive alternator. This type of alternator should operate under unfriendly condition, e.g. in agricultural applications. Described development is supported by Ministry of Industry and Trade in frame of the project FI-IM4/194. Required parameters were evaluated and analytic design of magnetic circuit was performed in cooperation with Magneton a.s. Kromeríž company. A laboratory sample was also manufactured in this stage of the project solution. The 3D finite element method model was created simultaneously using the ANSYS program. The model was used to verify the magnetic flux density distribution and it will be used for optimization in following stage of the project.

The paper is focused on the analysis of the radial magnetic field of low power induction motors. The field is treated as a source of the diagnostic signal which is used in the suggested post processing technique. The basic principle of the solution is the analysis of the varying magnetic flux density in the air gap between the asymmetrical rotor and stator. The theoretical considerations deal with the derived expected Fourier spectra of the spatial tangential component of the external magnetic field. They are verified by a FEM model and measurement. The measurements were performed for several eccentric rotor levels on several machines.

Artykuł dotyczy analizy promieniowego pola magnetycznego silników indukcyjnych małej mocy. Pole to stanowi źródło sygnału diagnostycznego, który jest wykorzystany w proponowanej procedurze pomiarowej. Podstawą na której opiera się proponowane rozwiązanie jest analiza zmian indukcji magnetycznej w szczelinie powietrznej między asymetrycznym wirnikiem a stojanem. Rozważania teoretyczne dotyczą widma harmonicznych przestrzennych składowej stycznej zewnętrznego pola magnetycznego. Analizy te są weryfikowane za pomocą MES oraz za pomocą pomiarów. Pomiary zostały wykonane na kilku maszynach dla kilku stopni ekscentryczności.
